Philadelphia, PA
Hybrid (4 days onsite, 1 day remote)
$65 - $73 per hour
Contract (1 year, potential for extension or FTE conversion)

ABOUT THE ROLE

Our client is seeking a skilled Technical Project Manager to join a large enterprise technology organization in Philadelphia, PA. In this hybrid role, you will oversee complex, enterprise-wide IT programs and projects, coordinating across engineering and development teams to ensure successful delivery aligned with business and technology objectives. You will be responsible for developing strategies and project plans, monitoring key performance indicators, managing risks, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. The ideal candidate is an experienced project or program manager with a strong background in Agile/Scrum methodologies, comfortable working with both technical teams and senior business stakeholders. This is a contract position for one year, with the potential for extension or conversion to full-time employment.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Manage one or more complex, enterprise-wide IT programs consisting of multiple projects
  • Develop program strategies, project plans, milestones, schedules, and delivery objectives
  • Monitor project KPIs, resources, milestones, risks, and overall delivery
  • Identify delivery risks and drive mitigation strategies and solutions
  • Coordinate across multiple engineering and development teams to ensure successful project execution
  • Partner with technical and business stakeholders to establish priorities and communicate program direction
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with strategic business requirements
  • Track key milestones and recommend adjustments to project scope, timing, resources, and priorities as needed
  • Facilitate collaboration between engineering, deployment, and business teams
  • Ensure technical requirements and design considerations are incorporated into project planning and delivery
  • Apply Agile and Scrum methodologies throughout the project lifecycle
  • Coach teams and stakeholders on Agile processes, Scrum practices, and effective delivery
  • Facilitate and reinforce Scrum values and practices while serving as a servant leader to project teams
  • Communicate program status, risks, changes, and key decisions to IT and business leadership

WHAT YOU BRING

  • 5+ years of project or program management experience
  • Experience managing complex IT or technical projects in an Agile environment
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, processes, and tools
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating across cross-functional technical teams
  • Strong experience with project planning, scheduling, milestones, risk management, and delivery
  • Experience working with both technical and business stakeholders
  • Strong communication, organizational, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
  • Experience with Scrum/Agile methodologies and practices
  • Experience serving as a Scrum Master, Agile Project Manager, or similar Agile leadership role
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • Project Management certification required
  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale technology programs (preferred)
  • Experience working directly with software engineering or development teams (preferred)
  • Experience coaching teams on Agile/Scrum processes (preferred)
  • PMP or comparable project management certification (preferred)
  • Strong understanding of the software/IT delivery lifecycle (preferred)
  • Experience operating as a servant leader within Agile teams (preferred)
