Construction Coordinator
Brentwood, TN
On-Site Role (5 days a week)
$22 - $24 per hour

About The Role
Our Client is seeking a Construction Coordinator for a 6-month onsite contract in Brentwood, TN, with the possibility of extension. The Construction Coordinator will provide comprehensive administrative and financial support for new and remodel store construction projects, ensuring effective document management, contract execution, invoice processing, and project closeout. This role is responsible for supporting standard operating procedures, file management, and financial reporting throughout the entire lifecycle of construction projects. The Construction Coordinator will ensure all parties—including clients, contractors, sub-contractors, vendors, employees, support staff, and internal upper management—are well informed and projects are executed efficiently. The position requires strong organizational and communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders. Adaptability, attention to detail, and a customer service mindset are essential, with a preference for candidates holding a bachelor’s degree in finance, construction, or a related field and experience with enterprise project management tools.
What You'll Do
- Support administrative and financial responsibilities for new and remodel store construction projects
- Manage and maintain construction files in accordance with document retention policies; store, purge, and organize files as required
- Coordinate and track vendor proposals, invoices, pay applications, and change orders
- Ensure timely processing and payment of invoices and pay applications
- Assist in reconciliation and closure of financial and administrative documents
- Collaborate with internal and external teams for Tenant Improvement Allowance (TIA), license applications, notices of construction commencement and completion, and tax notifications for new and existing stores
- Prepare, submit, and track requests for primary and supplemental funding of project budgets
- Assist in the bidding process, store walks, warranty process, collection of notices, store construction document storage, and new store address verification
- Ensure delivery of monthly REC packages to team members and vendors
- Provide support to internal/external team members in the use of Project Management Software (SAP Ariba, Projectmates, Procore, etc.)
- Coordinate and assist with miscellaneous ad-hoc reporting as requested by leadership
Requirements
- 2+ years of related business experience
- Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to interact with personnel at all levels
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, etc.)
- Knowledge of construction and financial terminology
- Ability to function in a fast-paced, retail, office environment
- Strong communication, problem solving, and interpersonal skills
- Customer service mindset
- Highly organized, able to prioritize and adapt to quickly changing situations
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, construction, or related field (preferred)
- Experience with Enterprise Network and Project Management Software (SAP Ariba, Projectmates, Procore, etc.) (preferred)
