Data Analyst

Oklahoma City, OK

Hybrid role (weekly onsite presence required)

$37 - $40 per hour (long-term contract)


ABOUT THE ROLE

Brooksource is seeking a Data Analyst to support a leading organization within the transportation and infrastructure industry in Oklahoma City, OK. This hybrid, long-term contract role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of data analysis, SQL development, and business process improvement. You will work with complex datasets and systems to uncover data integrity issues, identify root causes, and deliver insights that drive business decisions. This is a great opportunity for a self-starter who enjoys digging into data, learning new systems, and partnering with stakeholders to improve reporting accuracy and operational efficiency.

WHAT YOU'LL DO


  • Analyze large and complex data sets to identify trends, anomalies, and data integrity issues
  • Investigate root causes and provide actionable recommendations to improve data quality
  • Write, modify, and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures to support reporting needs
  • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and ad hoc analyses for business stakeholders
  • Review existing code, reports, and performance metrics to identify and resolve defects
  • Document business processes, workflows, and system behaviors
  • Partner with stakeholders to identify and implement process improvement opportunities
  • Conduct data quality assessments and ensure accuracy across systems
  • Learn and support internal systems, workflows, and backend SQL procedures
  • Communicate findings and insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

WHAT YOU BRING


  • 3+ years of experience as a Data Analyst or Business Analyst
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with SQL development (queries, functions, stored procedures)
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, database design, and data mining techniques
  • Experience documenting business processes and workflows
  • Proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server / SSMS, Power BI or similar reporting tools, and data formats such as XML and JSON
  • Strong analytical mindset with attention to data accuracy and detail
  • Ability to translate data findings into clear, actionable insights
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
  • Experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), especially dashboards (preferred)
  • Exposure to Six Sigma or process improvement methodologies (preferred)
  • Background in software development (preferred)
  • Self-driven and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to manage changing priorities and multiple tasks
  • Effective communicator with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Must be able to pass background and vehicle checks
