Job Description:
ServiceNow Business Analyst
Remote Role - Long-Term Contract
Compensation: ~$40 - $50/hr (Final compensation will be dependent on skillset, experience, and certifications)
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a ServiceNow Business Analyst, you will work directly with our federal integrator client on an active government contract. You will partner with clients and stakeholders to uncover true business needs, then shape those into clear, actionable specifications for development teams. You’ll own the Jira project board, keep stakeholders informed, and ensure nothing falls through the cracks. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in both discovery calls and backlog management and takes pride in bringing order to complexity. You will play a key role in translating business requirements into functional solutions, managing project progress, and providing transparent updates to ensure milestones are met.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document detailed business and functional requirements for the OGE application
- Translate business needs into clear user stories, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria for development teams
- Manage and maintain the Jira project board, tracking tasks, issues, and progress to ensure project schedules are met
- Develop and present status reports and progress trackers to provide transparent visibility into development milestones
- Identify gaps between business needs and proposed solutions, proactively surface risks or blockers to the broader team
WHAT YOU BRING
- 2+ years of experience in a Business Analyst or combined BA/QA role, preferably within an Agile software development environment
- Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and quality assurance methodologies
- Hands-on experience with Jira or similar project tracking tools for backlog management and progress reporting
- Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills with strong attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to translate complex information for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or equivalent practical experience
