Senior IT Project Manager
Location: Hybrid – Greater Cleveland
6 Month CTH
Job Description:
- Develop comprehensive project plans with clear deliverables, timelines, and milestones, including budget forecasting and resource allocation.
- Manage project scope, identifying and mitigating potential risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Lead cross-functional teams, assigning tasks, and monitoring progress against project plans.
- Facilitate effective communication between project team members, stakeholders, and leadership.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across clinical, administrative, and IT departments to ensure alignment with project objectives.
- Proactively address concerns and manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Change Management:
- Develop and implement change management strategies to minimize disruption and promote user adoption of new systems or processes.
- Financial Oversight:
- Monitor project budget, identifying cost variances and taking corrective actions as needed.
- Track project expenditures and ensure adherence to financial guidelines.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field
- 7+ years of experience managing complex healthcare projects in a hospital setting
- Proven track record of successful project delivery within budget and timeline constraints
- Expertise in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) – Waterfall is mainly used
- Strong analytical skills, ability to identify and resolve issues effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, adept at stakeholder management
- Proficiency in project management software tools
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in healthcare administration or project management
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) implementations or other large-scale healthcare IT projects
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements
- Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement certifications
