As a Senior Overhead Transmission Line Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the continued growth of our Power Delivery practice and leading the execution of high-voltage transmission projects for utility and energy clients. This direct-hire opportunity offers you the chance to serve as both a technical leader and client-facing partner, driving project execution, mentoring junior engineers, and supporting business development efforts across a growing transmission portfolio. You will be involved in projects from conceptual design through construction, acting as a technical resource for both clients and internal teams. employee-owned environment.<\/p>\n<h3>WHAT YOU&#8217;LL DO<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead overhead transmission line design and engineering from conceptual development through construction support, including preparation and review of designs, calculations, specifications, and construction packages<\/li>\n<li>Prepare equipment specifications, data sheets, RFQs, technical bid summaries, and purchase recommendations for transmission projects<\/li>\n<li>Conduct conductor selection studies, clearance evaluations, grounding studies, lightning performance analysis, and other transmission engineering calculations<\/li>\n<li>Apply NESC, NERC, FERC, and utility-specific design standards throughout project execution<\/li>\n<li>Compile information for client presentations, shop drawing review, and contract administration for the design of power, process, pipeline, industrial, healthcare, airports, educational, commercial, governmental, and military facilities<\/li>\n<li>Prepare engineering reports, technical documentation, equipment specifications, and project deliverables<\/li>\n<li>Support project managers with engineering service estimates, project planning, and proposal development efforts<\/li>\n<li>Participate in client meetings and provide technical consultation throughout project execution<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, including civil, structural, substation, and project management groups<\/li>\n<li>Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and intermediate engineers as project needs require<\/li>\n<li>Support field visits, site inspections, and construction-related activities as needed<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to both project execution and client relationship development within a growing transmission practice<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>WHAT YOU BRING<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Electrical, Civil, Structural Engineering, or related discipline from an ABET-accredited program<\/li>\n<li>Professional Engineer (PE) license required; ability to obtain or transfer PE licensure in Florida<\/li>\n<li>7+ years of overhead transmission line engineering experience<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency with PLS-CADD and other transmission engineering design tools<\/li>\n<li>Strong understanding of transmission engineering principles, design standards (NESC, NERC, FERC), and industry best practices<\/li>\n<li>Experience supporting overhead transmission line projects in utility, consulting, or EPC environments<\/li>\n<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated ability to independently execute engineering work and contribute to project success with minimal oversight<\/li>\n<li>Experience mentoring junior engineers or serving as a technical lead on project teams<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work directly with clients and project stakeholders in a professional, consultative manner<\/li>\n<li>Experience supporting project proposals and engineering estimates (preferred)<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with regional utility clients and transmission infrastructure programs (preferred)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>WHAT&#8217;S IN IT
