This position will support post-trade processing and settlement activity while partnering with internal teams, brokers, custodians, and other counterparties to ensure transactions settle accurately and within required market deadlines.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: serif; font-size: 12px;\">This is a <\/span><strong style=\"font-family: serif; font-size: 12px;\">3-month W2 contract-to-hire opportunity<\/strong><span style=\"font-family: serif; font-size: 12px;\">. The team intends to convert the selected candidate to a full-time employee following the initial contract period based on performance and business need.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><strong style=\"font-family: serif; font-size: 12px;\">What You\u2019ll Do<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: serif; font-size: 12px;\">Support daily securities settlement and post-trade processing activities across the trade lifecycle.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: serif; font-size: 12px;\">Monitor transactions through settlement and identify trades requiring additional investigation or action.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: serif; font-size: 12px;\">Research and resolve settlement breaks, failed trades, exceptions, and discrepancies within established market deadlines.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: serif; font-size: 12px;\">Review settlement instructions and help ensure trades are positioned correctly for settlement.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: serif; font-size: 12px;\">Perform reconciliations and investigate differences between internal books and records and external settlement information.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: serif; font-size: 12px;\">Partner with brokers, custodians, counterparties, trading partners, and internal operations teams to resolve outstanding issues.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: serif; font-size: 12px;\">Research transaction details and determine the appropriate action or escalation path for settlement-related exceptions.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: serif; font-size: 12px;\">Maintain accurate documentation and follow established operational procedures and controls.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: serif; font-size: 12px;\">Communicate clearly regarding outstanding trades, risks, breaks, and required follow-up.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: serif; font-size: 12px;\">Take ownership of assigned work while remaining adaptable and receptive to coaching and feedback.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong style=\"font-family: serif; font-size: 12px;\">What We\u2019re Looking For<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: serif; font-size: 12px;\">Previous experience in <\/span><strong style=\"font-family: serif; font-size: 12px;\">securities settlements, investment operations, trading operations, or post-trade operations<\/strong><span style=\"font-family: serif; font-size: 12px;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: serif; font-size: 12px;\">Working knowledge of the <\/span><strong style=\"font-family: serif; font-size: 12px;\">trade lifecycle<\/strong><span style=\"font-family: serif; font-size: 12px;\"> and how transactions move from execution through settlement.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: serif; font-size: 12px;\">Experience researching and resolving <\/span><strong style=\"font-family: serif; font-size: 12px;\">settlement breaks, failed trades, exceptions, or reconciliation discrepancies<\/strong><span style=\"font-family: serif; font-size: 12px;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: serif; font-size: 12px;\">Exposure to <\/span><strong style=\"font-family: serif; font-size: 12px;\">DTC\/DTCC settlement processes<\/strong><span style=\"font-family: serif; font-size: 12px;\"> strongly preferred.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: serif; font-size: 12px;\">Experience reviewing settlement instructions and monitoring transaction status.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: serif; font-size: 12px;\">Experience performing operational or trade reconciliations.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: serif; font-size: 12px;\">Familiarity with books and records and maintaining accurate transaction data.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: serif; font-size: 12px;\">Experience with <\/span><strong style=\"font-family: serif; font-size: 12px;\">Broadridge<\/strong><span style=\"font-family: serif; font-size: 12px;\"> is preferred.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: serif; font-size: 12px;\">Experience with other trade processing, matching, clearing, reconciliation, or settlement platforms is also valuable.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: serif; font-size: 12px;\">Strong attention to detail with the ability to work effectively under market deadlines and cutoffs.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: serif; font-size: 12px;\">Strong written and verbal communication skills.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: serif; font-size: 12px;\">Demonstrated ownership, problem-solving ability, coachability, and willingness to learn.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: serif; font-size: 12px;\">Calculated Hire is an equal opportunity employer.
