Brooksource is partnering with Allegra Marketing Print Mail, a full-service commercial print, direct mail, and marketing production company<\/p>\n
in Plymouth, Michigan, to hire an Associate Bindery & Print Finishing Operator. This is a hands-on production role for someone interested<\/p>\n
in manufacturing, machine operation, quality-focused work, and learning a skilled trade within commercial printing. Prior print or bindery<\/p>\n
experience is helpful but not required; Allegra is open to training dependable, coachable candidates with strong attention to detail and<\/p>\n
mechanical curiosity.<\/p>\n
What Is Bindery & Print Finishing?<\/strong><\/p>\n In commercial printing, the bindery\/finishing department turns printed materials into finished customer-ready products. After materials are<\/p>\n printed, they may need to be cut, folded, stitched, assembled, packaged, or prepared for mailing. This role supports the equipment and<\/p>\n production processes used to finish items such as brochures, mailers, booklets, marketing pieces, and other business communications.<\/p>\n Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n \uf0b7 Assist with setup, operation, and monitoring of print finishing equipment.<\/p>\n \uf0b7 Learn to support folding, cutting, stitching, die-cutting, inserting, packaging, and related production processes.<\/p>\n \uf0b7 Feed, stack, sort, inspect, and package printed materials throughout the production process.<\/p>\n \uf0b7 Check finished products for quality, accuracy, alignment, folds, cuts, defects, and overall appearance.<\/p>\n \uf0b7 Follow job tickets, production instructions, safety procedures, and quality standards.<\/p>\n \uf0b7 Communicate with Allegra production team members to keep jobs moving on schedule.<\/p>\n \uf0b7 Assist with basic troubleshooting when machines jam, slow down, or produce inconsistent results.<\/p>\n \uf0b7 Help with cleaning and preventative maintenance to keep machines and work areas safe, organized, and productive.<\/p>\n Equipment You May Learn<\/strong><\/p>\n Training may include exposure to folding machines, paper cutters, saddle stitchers, die cutters, inserters or mail processing equipment,<\/p>\n packaging equipment, and other production machinery.
