This role ensures that trauma data is <strong>accurate, timely, and easily accessible<\/strong> to support program operations, required reporting, and <strong>survey readiness<\/strong>.  <\/p>\n<p>Key duties include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Collecting, compiling, abstracting, and presenting data<\/strong>\u00a0related to:\n<ul>\n<li>Trauma\u00a0<strong>incidence<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Trauma\u00a0<strong>severity<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Patient\u00a0<strong>outcomes<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Causes of injury<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Required\u00a0<strong>trauma indicators<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Maintaining\u00a0<strong>clinical and research databases<\/strong>\u00a0for trauma-related programs or specialty clinics<\/li>\n<li>Supporting trauma management and program requirements, including those for\u00a0<strong>Oregon and California<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Assisting with data used for:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Process improvement<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Clinical effectiveness<\/strong>\u00a0projects<\/li>\n<li><strong>Research studies<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Education<\/strong>\u00a0activities for staff, patients, and families<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring\u00a0<strong>data integrity<\/strong>, reliable\u00a0<strong>registry workflows<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>backfill coverage<\/strong>\u00a0during the recruitment and hiring of permanent staff<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This is a <strong>100% non-clinical, non-patient-facing role<\/strong>, focused on trauma data integrity and trauma registry management.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Skill Set Requirements (Must-Have Skills):<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Current Certified Abbreviated Injury Scale Specialist (CAISS)<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>AIS course completion<\/strong>\u00a0through the Association for the Advancement of Automotive Medicine (AAAM)<\/li>\n<li><strong>ATS Trauma Registry Course (TRC) completion<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Demonstrated experience with:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Trauma registry data input, management, and reporting<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Trauma data quality, accuracy, timeliness, and accessibility<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Collecting, compiling, abstracting, and presenting trauma data<\/strong>\u00a0(incidence, severity, outcomes, causes of injury, required indicators)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Ability to support\u00a0<strong>trauma program requirements<\/strong>\u00a0for\u00a0<strong>Oregon and California<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Proficiency in maintaining\u00a0clinical and research databases<\/strong>\u00a0related to trauma or specialty programs<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work effectively in a\u00a0<strong>non-clinical, data-focused environment<\/strong>\u00a0similar to coding or registry functions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred Skills\/Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience with\u00a0<strong>trauma survey readiness<\/strong>\u00a0or\u00a0<strong>trauma program assessment<\/strong>\u00a0activities<\/li>\n<li>Experience supporting\u00a0<strong>process improvement, clinical effectiveness, or research studies<\/strong>\u00a0using trauma data<\/li>\n<li>Experience\u00a0<strong>preparing information<\/strong>\u00a0and data for\u00a0<strong>patients, families, or education efforts<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Prior experience working in a\u00a0hospital trauma services department<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Ability to\u00a0work independently<\/strong>\u00a0and manage data\/registry responsibilities with minimal supervision<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Education\/Certifications\/Licenses:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Required:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>CAISS certification<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Completion of\u00a0<strong>AIS course<\/strong>\u00a0(AAAM)<\/li>\n<li>Completion of\u00a0<strong>ATS Trauma Registry Course (TRC)<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Preferred:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Any relevant clinical or health information background (e.g., RHIT, RHIA, nursing, paramedic, or other healthcare experience) is a plus but not mandatory, as the role is fully non-clinical.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Trauma Registrar Sacramento, California<\/p>\n<p>For over 16 years, Medasource has established and maintained relationships that are designed to meet your IT staffing needs.
