This contract-to-hire position requires a hands-on leader with a strong background in ED or urgent care registration, revenue cycle management, and the ability to drive accountability and high performance across a team. The Patient Access Supervisor will play a critical role in ensuring efficient patient registration, compliance with healthcare regulations, and the delivery of excellent service to patients and staff.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<h3>WHAT YOU&#8217;LL DO<\/h3>\n<p><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Supervise and lead a team of approximately 25 Patient Access\/Registration staff across the main ED and two offsite ED locations<\/li>\n<li>Monitor and manage daily KPIs including collections, denial rates, registration accuracy, and work queue activity<\/li>\n<li>Maintain and review departmental reports; proactively identify and address workflow gaps<\/li>\n<li>Participate in staffing coverage, stepping in directly when call-outs occur to ensure uninterrupted operations<\/li>\n<li>Conduct performance management activities including scheduling, time tracking, mentoring, coaching, and progressive discipline<\/li>\n<li>Train and evaluate staff, coordinating education sessions to maintain high accuracy standards and reduce denials and write-offs<\/li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with payer guidelines, CMS, EMTALA, HIPAA, and organizational policies and procedures<\/li>\n<li>Partner with ancillary departments and support staffing coordination needs<\/li>\n<li>Stay current with managed care changes and communicate relevant updates to the team<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>WHAT YOU BRING<\/h3>\n<p><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum 2+ years of supervisory or team lead experience in a healthcare setting<\/li>\n<li>3\u20135 years of Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) experience<\/li>\n<li>Direct experience working in an Emergency Department or Urgent Care setting<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated ability to manage KPIs, work queues, and team performance metrics<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency with EMR systems and Microsoft Office suite<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of insurance, authorizations, denials, and financial clearance processes<\/li>\n<li>Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to step into coverage roles as needed and adapt to changing priorities<\/li>\n<li>High School Diploma or GED required; Associate&#8217;s Degree preferred (RHIT or RHIA accepted)<\/li>\n<li>Field of study: Business, Accounting, Finance, Health Administration, Nursing, or related field<\/li>\n<li>Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) via NAHAM preferred<\/li>\n<li>Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) via HFMA preferred<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>PAS Supervisor &#8211; ED Tampa, Florida<\/p>\n<p>For over 16 years, Medasource has established and maintained relationships that are designed to meet your IT staffing needs.
