This technician will support internal network order fulfillment and circuit design across a complex, multi\u2011technology telecom environment.<\/p>\n<p>This role is responsible for designing accurate circuit layouts, maintaining network inventory integrity, and supporting provisioning activities across Layer 1 transport technologies. <\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>You will play a critical role in ensuring network designs are accurate, documented, and ready to support both day\u2011to\u2011day operations and long\u2011term network growth. The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of telecom infrastructure, inventory systems, and provisioning workflows, along with the ability to manage workload efficiently in a fast\u2011paced environment. This technician will be responsible for producing and maintaining detailed design records that demonstrate a deep understanding of the network and provide the documentation necessary to support outages, maintenance activity, and future provisioning.<\/p>\n<p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Designing and redesigning Layer 1 circuit layout records within TIRKS to accurately reflect network builds across DWDM, SONET, TDM, Ethernet, and IP technologies.<\/li>\n<li>Resolving inventory discrepancies in accordance with EIRG\/FIRG databases, job aids, and established procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborating closely with Planning and Engineering teams to build and provision equipment and infrastructure circuits that support customer and business needs.<\/li>\n<li>Developing and maintaining a strong understanding of fiber cable configurations and how they relate to network design solutions.<\/li>\n<li>Maintaining and supporting network infrastructure records across all applicable inventory and design applications.<\/li>\n<li>Designing and processing internal network orders accurately and efficiently while meeting defined SLAs, quality standards, and on\u2011time delivery expectations.<\/li>\n<li>Managing an assigned order queue with strong time management skills and a focus on customer excellence.<\/li>\n<li>Supporting complex provisioning requirements across multiple technologies and delivery models.<\/li>\n<li>Applying working knowledge of switched and special access services, optical Ethernet solutions, local loop and long\u2011haul transport, and DACS cross\u2011connects.<\/li>\n<li>Providing technical support to engineering, installation, and testing teams as needed to ensure successful completion of network orders.<\/li>\n<li>Supporting project\u2011based work driven by organizational growth and evolving infrastructure demands.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>REQUIRED SKILLS:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Hands\u2011on knowledge of optical networking equipment such as Ciena, Fujitsu, and Alcatel\/Lucent.<\/li>\n<li>Experience working with telecommunications inventory systems including TIRKS, OMNIvue, WMS, WFMT, and BOSS.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of inside plant fiber\u2011optic structured wiring design, construction, and operations.<\/li>\n<li>A strong technical understanding of voice, data, and Ethernet products, related equipment, and evolving product\/design rules.<\/li>\n<li>An expert understanding of on\u2011net and off\u2011net design and routing requirements.<\/li>\n<li>The ability to work effectively across both legacy and next\u2011generation design systems.<\/li>\n<li>Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work cross\u2011functionally.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated problem\u2011solving, analytical skills, and attention to detail.<\/li>\n<li>The ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet KPI expectations.<\/li>\n<li>A commitment to continuous learning and skill development through formal and on\u2011the\u2011job training.<\/li>\n<li>The ability to quickly evaluate challenges and recommend appropriate remediation strategies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>NICE TO HAVE:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Previous experience designing infrastructure circuits within a telecommunications
