The Store Leader is responsible for ensuring the store consistently meets or exceeds customer expectations for shopping convenience, product variety, freshness, cleanliness, food safety, and regulatory compliance. This role involves managing and developing store associates, driving sales and profit goals, implementing merchandising and operational initiatives, and fostering an inclusive and respectful work environment. The Store Leader will also be accountable for financial performance, budgeting, cost control, and compliance with company policies and legal regulations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the company\u2019s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety, and will be committed to upholding these standards in all aspects of store leadership.\n<\/p>\n<h3>WHAT YOU&#8217;LL DO<\/h3>\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead store teams in planning, implementing, and executing merchandising and operational initiatives to ensure the store is customer ready every day<\/li>\n<li>Manage the overall day-to-day operations of the store, including training and developing effective store associates to achieve desired sales and profit results<\/li>\n<li>Coach and develop all store associates through both formal and informal interactions<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with assistant store leaders, department leaders, and associates to identify opportunities, develop timely solutions, and create action plans to ensure implementation<\/li>\n<li>Achieve or exceed weekly, period, and annual sales, revenue, and profit budgets, as well as other targeted goals<\/li>\n<li>Drive cost-effective sales by working with store assistant leaders and department leaders to maximize sales and profits, reduce shrink, and improve each store department&#8217;s contribution<\/li>\n<li>Discuss and manage store-level financial performance, including developing budgets (sales, shrink, labor expenses, other expenses) and monitoring expenses<\/li>\n<li>Monitor and respond to the competitive landscape within the district and store<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate and promote inclusionary leadership, expect inclusive behavior from associates, and support diversity and inclusion initiatives<\/li>\n<li>Utilize field merchandising teams to enable store departments to achieve financial goals and ensure communication, implementation, and execution of division marketing plans<\/li>\n<li>Promote and support strong relationships with local community organizations that the store serves<\/li>\n<li>Build and maintain proactive and productive relationships with union officials if the store is covered by a collective bargaining agreement (CBA)<\/li>\n<li>Communicate all necessary information to store associates enabling them to effectively carry out their duties<\/li>\n<li>Oversee and manage store staffing, retention, and turnover reduction<\/li>\n<li>Provide timely feedback to store associates on individual and department performance<\/li>\n<li>Manage labor and supply costs daily to meet customer service and financial targets<\/li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and division\/company policies<\/li>\n<li>Maintain and develop technical and professional skills relevant to the position; keep up with current developments and trends in areas of expertise<\/li>\n<li>Supervise and coach direct reports on the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports<\/li>\n<li>Ensure associates comply with all applicable laws and regulations<\/li>\n<li>Must be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>WHAT YOU BRING<\/h3>\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>High School Diploma or GED (required)<\/li>\n<li>3+ years of experience and satisfactory performance appraisals as an assistant store leader or in another position at the same pay level or above (required)<\/li>\n<li>Successful completion of the applicable division&#8217;s Leadership Essentials Program (required)<\/li>\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s Degree (preferred)<\/li>\n<li>Experience overseeing financial responsibilities, including budget preparation and management (preferred)<\/li>\n<li>3+ years of retail experience (preferred)<\/li>\n<li>Supervisory experience
