As an AR Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting the Accounts Receivable performance for these ASCs. This remote, contract-to-hire position is responsible for managing insurance accounts receivable, working assigned AR accounts, researching and resolving insurance denials, submitting and following up on appeals, and communicating directly with insurance representatives to ensure timely collections and reimbursement. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare insurance collections, a thorough understanding of the insurance collection process, and experience supporting ASCs. You should be comfortable managing multiple client accounts and thrive in a performance-focused environment.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<h3>WHAT YOU&#8217;LL DO<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Manage insurance accounts receivable for Ambulatory Surgical Centers (ASCs), ensuring timely collections and reimbursement<\/li>\n<li>Work assigned AR accounts, researching and resolving insurance denials and underpayments<\/li>\n<li>Prepare, submit, and follow up on insurance appeals to maximize reimbursement<\/li>\n<li>Communicate directly with insurance representatives to resolve outstanding issues and facilitate collections<\/li>\n<li>Maintain accurate documentation of account activity, correspondence, and collection efforts<\/li>\n<li>Interpret and apply insurance guidelines, managed care contracts, fee schedules, and allowables<\/li>\n<li>Support multiple client accounts in a performance-focused environment<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with internal teams to address billing and reimbursement challenges<\/li>\n<li>Utilize medical billing software, SIS or other ASC-specific systems, and Windows-based applications for account management<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to performance improvement initiatives and adapt to evolving client needs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>WHAT YOU BRING<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Healthcare insurance collections experience, specifically with ASCs (highly preferred)<\/li>\n<li>Accounts Receivable experience, including working denials and insurance accounts<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated experience writing, initiating, and following up on appeals<\/li>\n<li>Strong knowledge of medical billing, insurance guidelines, and the appeals process<\/li>\n<li>Experience interacting with insurance representatives and working with non-participating providers<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of managed care contracts, fee schedules, and allowables<\/li>\n<li>Clear understanding of the insurance collection process<\/li>\n<li>Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills<\/li>\n<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail<\/li>\n<li>Computer proficiency and experience with Windows-based software<\/li>\n<li>SIS or other surgical\/ASC-specific system experience (preferred)<\/li>\n<li>Workers&#8217; Compensation and\/or injury-related experience (preferred)<\/li>\n<li>Experience supporting multiple clients\/accounts and working in a performance improvement environment<\/li>\n<li>High school diploma or GED required<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A\/R Specialist Alpharetta, Georgia<\/p>\n<p>For over 16 years, Medasource has established and maintained relationships that are designed to meet your IT staffing needs.
