UKG Scheduling Analyst (UKG Dimensions)

ABOUT THE ROLE

Medasource is seeking a technical UKG Scheduling Analyst to support a large health system’s UKG Pro Workforce Management (Dimensions) environment. In this high-impact consulting role, you will assess and optimize current scheduling workflows, identify gaps and inefficiencies, and reconfigure the UKG system to better support clinical and operational staffing needs. You will work closely with operational leaders and cross-functional stakeholders—including nursing, operations, HR, and IT—to design and implement future-state scheduling workflows, configure advanced scheduling features, and ensure alignment with timekeeping and pay rules. The ideal candidate is hands-on in configuration, experienced in both standard and advanced scheduling, and able to communicate effectively with both technical and clinical teams. This engagement offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on workforce management within a major health system, with strong potential for extension beyond the initial term.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Assess current-state scheduling workflows across departments and facilities, documenting pain points, workarounds, and opportunities for improvement
• Design future-state workflows and translate operational requirements into UKG Pro WFM (Dimensions) configuration
• Reconfigure and optimize scheduling setup, including shift templates, pattern templates, schedule rules, schedule groups, and employee visibility periods
• Configure and support Advanced Scheduling functionality, including schedule generation, staffing targets/volume-driven scheduling, coverage planning, and rule-based optimization
• Support self-scheduling, open shift management, shift swaps, and request workflows
• Configure business structure, job/location assignments, and transfer logic as they relate to scheduling
• Ensure scheduling configuration aligns with timekeeping, pay rules, and accruals where they intersect
• Build and execute test scenarios; troubleshoot and resolve configuration issues and defects
• Partner with nursing, operations, HR, and IT stakeholders to validate changes and support adoption
• Produce clear documentation, including workflow maps, configuration workbooks, and end-user guidance

WHAT YOU BRING

• 4+ years of hands-on UKG scheduling configuration experience, with recent work in UKG Pro WFM (Dimensions)
• Strong experience in both standard scheduling and Advanced Scheduling configuration
• Proven track record of workflow assessment and system reconfiguration, not only day-to-day support
• Strong technical understanding of schedule rules, patterns, staffing/coverage logic, and business structure
• Experience testing and validating configuration changes
• Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with both technical and clinical/operational audiences
• Healthcare or hospital scheduling experience (nursing units, float pools, 24/7 staffing, census or volume-based staffing) preferred
• Experience with Setup Data Manager (SDM), data import tools, or Boomi integrations preferred
• Familiarity with UKG timekeeping, attendance, and accruals preferred
• UKG Pro WFM certification(s) preferred
• Prior consulting or implementation/optimization project experience preferred
