ABOUT THE ROLE
Join a high-growth Alternative Investments team that has become a key contributor to our client’s overall growth strategy. As a Financial Analyst, you will support the VP of Alternative Investments Operations in financial analysis, modeling, pricing, budgeting, and forecasting. This is an excellent opportunity for an analytical, detail-oriented professional eager to grow their career in finance, gain hands-on exposure to alternative investments, and work directly with senior leadership. You will play a vital role in developing and maintaining financial models, preparing recurring reports, analyzing large datasets, and providing actionable insights to drive business decisions. This position offers significant exposure to investment operations and the chance to advance within a dynamic, high-impact team.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Support the VP of Alternative Investments Operations with financial analysis, reporting, and operational initiatives
- Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate investments, pricing, performance, and business decisions
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes, including data gathering, trend analysis, and variance identification
- Conduct pricing analysis and provide financial insights to support investment and operational decisions
- Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement
- Prepare and maintain recurring financial reports, dashboards, and analysis for leadership
- Work with large datasets in Excel to organize, validate, analyze, and summarize information
- Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to gather financial information and ensure data accuracy
- Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to the VP and upper management
- Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as the team grows
- Help improve and streamline financial processes, reporting, and analytical tools as the organization evolves
WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Mathematics, or related field (preferred)
- Experience in financial analysis, investment analysis, FP&A, accounting, banking, or related analytical role (preferred)
- Proficiency in Excel, including SUMIFS, XLOOKUP, pivot tables, and other common tools
- Strong analytical and detail-oriented mindset with ability to identify trends, inconsistencies, and opportunities within financial data
- Ability to develop and maintain financial models for investments, pricing, and business decisions
- Experience supporting budgeting and forecasting processes
- Excellent communication skills, able to confidently present findings and recommendations to senior leadership
- Organized, accountable, and able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Comfortable working with financial data and translating analysis into clear, actionable insights
- Interest in alternative investments, financial markets, and investment operations
- Power BI experience is a plus, but not required
- Hardworking, curious, and eager to learn, with a genuine interest in developing your financial skill set
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
