Full Stack Developer – Gen AI Focus
Charlotte, NC (Hybrid: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)

Compensation: $32 - $38 per hour

ABOUT THE ROLE

Our Client is seeking a skilled Full Stack Developer with a strong emphasis on backend development (approximately 80%) and hands-on experience in Python, AWS, Terraform, and generative AI technologies. This role is ideal for candidates with at least 3 years of relevant experience, foundational knowledge of agentic AI, Gen AI, LangChain, and LangGraph, and familiarity with JavaScript and TypeScript (nice to have). You will play a key part in a newly forming team focused on fraud recommendation solutions, with an initial period dedicated to team alignment and growth, followed by increased project delivery responsibilities. The position requires a collaborative mindset, strong communication skills, and a willingness to mentor and coach less experienced team members (15-20% of your time). This is a 12-month+ contract opportunity based in Charlotte, NC, with a hybrid work schedule (3 days onsite, 2 days remote) and the potential for conversion based on performance.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Design, develop, and maintain backend systems using Python and AWS services
• Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform for scalable and reliable deployments
• Develop and integrate generative AI and agentic AI solutions, leveraging frameworks such as LangChain and LangGraph
• Contribute to full stack development, with a primary focus on backend (80%) and some frontend (20%) using JavaScript/TypeScript
• Mentor and coach junior team members, supporting their technical growth and maturity within the team
• Collaborate and coordinate with cross-functional teams to align on project goals, deliverables, and evolving requirements
• Participate in project delivery, especially as the team matures and aligns around fraud recommendation solutions
• Communicate effectively to ensure clarity in tasks and expectations, particularly during the initial team alignment phase
• Adapt to ambiguity and evolving project requirements, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and learning

WHAT YOU BRING

• 3+ years of relevant experience in full stack development, with a strong backend focus
• Proficiency in Python and experience with AWS services
• Hands-on knowledge of Terraform for infrastructure as code
• Foundational understanding of agentic AI and generative AI concepts
• Experience with LangChain and LangGraph frameworks
• Familiarity with JavaScript and TypeScript (nice to have)
• Strong communication skills and a willingness to mentor and coach junior team members (15-20% of your time)
• Ability to coordinate and collaborate with other teams, adapting to evolving project requirements and team dynamics
• Openness to a hybrid work schedule (3 days onsite in Charlotte, 2 days remote)
