IT / Technical Support & Warehouse Associate
Plainfield, IN
On-Site Role
$18-23 per hour
ABOUT THE ROLE
Our Client is seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled IT / Technical Support & Warehouse Associate based in Plainfield, IN. This hybrid role is responsible for managing and maintaining IT equipment, including entering assets into service management systems (currently using a script, transitioning to ServiceNow), decommissioning and refurbishing devices, and supporting desktop and technical troubleshooting. The position also involves hands-on warehouse duties such as breaking down shipments, stocking shelves, moving pallets, and performing inventory audits. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, day shift, with a 30-minute lunch and two 15-minute breaks; occasional weekend overtime may be required. Training will be provided. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, organized, and able to multitask effectively between technical and manual responsibilities.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Enter and track IT equipment in service management systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Excel), including scanning serial numbers and asset tags, and running scripts to upload and process equipment data
- Decommission IT equipment, including removing and shredding hard drives with proper documentation and running scripts to process equipment data
- Process reclaimed IT equipment for stock: test, clean, refurbish, and repair IT equipment such as PCs, laptops, and printers (including armband labeling)
- Image PCs and laptops, reset thin clients, diagnose device issues, and order parts as needed
- Coordinate with vendors for repairs and oversee storage, tracking, and status updates of devices using provided tools and software
- Support warehouse operations: break down shipments, stock shelves, pick and pack items for shipping, and move pallets using pallet jacks
- Scan devices and enter data into relevant databases (e.g., IU Health database)
- Conduct inventory audits and perform additional warehouse duties as assigned
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
- Adhere to safety protocols and company policies at all times
WHAT YOU BRING
- High School Diploma or GED required
- CompTIA A+ certification preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel
- Strong attention to detail and technical aptitude
- Willingness to assist with warehouse operations as needed
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and remain on feet for the duration of the shift
- Self-motivated with strong initiative
- Ability to multitask between IT and warehouse duties
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
