Sales Support Specialist
Remote Role
This is a Remote role.
Compensation: $20 - $25 per hour
ABOUT THE ROLE
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Sales Support Specialist for a remote contract opportunity. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting the productivity and efficiency of the Sales Department, directly contributing to the growth of a profitable book of business. You will serve as a key liaison between sales representatives, brokers, and internal teams, ensuring seamless communication, timely service, and the effective execution of sales support activities. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is highly organized, and is passionate about supporting sales operations in the life insurance or financial services sector.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Fulfill broker service requests promptly and professionally
- Maintain Sales Representatives’ daily calendars, to-do lists, and planners
- Maintain continuous contact with Sales Representatives throughout the workday to ensure alignment and support
- Schedule and confirm appointments for Sales Representatives
- Call prospective brokers and agents to introduce the company and product line
- Coordinate and assist with executing online quotes for brokers and agents
- Facilitate effective intradepartmental communication to support sales initiatives
- Route broker calls to the appropriate department when necessary
- Provide key account servicing, including customizing applications and brochures for specific agencies
- Prepare and assemble producer kits for brokers and Sales Representatives
- Maintain and update the Salesforce broker database, ensuring accuracy of producer licenses, website registrations, and agreements; investigate inconsistencies and notify Sales Representatives as needed
- Generate periodic reports for the VP – Sales and Sales Representatives, including Quote Log Reports
- Type miscellaneous correspondence, such as thank you letters for Sales Representative visits
- Coordinate data processing requests through the VP – Sales
- Review customer and prospect web pages to identify new business opportunities
- Provide website instruction and support to brokers
- Call brokers regarding rate and benefit changes, and communicate updates as needed
- Call producers to encourage upgrades of new under-50 life cases to enhanced benefit levels
- Meet objectives and goals set forth by management
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the Sales Department
WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in sales support, customer service, or a related field
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a remote environment
- Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms preferred
- Life insurance or financial services industry experience is a plus
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate and support sales activities remotely
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
