ABOUT THE ROLE

Join a Fortune 50 healthcare insurance leader as an Associate Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET), supporting claims processing applications and initiatives focused on detecting fraud, waste, and abuse. This remote, long-term contract-to-hire opportunity offers hands-on experience in test automation and application development, working closely with development and QA teams. WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Build and deploy test versions of applications and configure non-production environments for comprehensive testing
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts, primarily using Python
• Collaborate with developers and QA teams to ensure high-quality software delivery
• Perform functional and integration testing using modern frameworks and tools
• Support claims processing applications and initiatives to detect fraud, waste, and abuse
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes
• Document test cases, results, and defects clearly and accurately
• Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies relevant to test automation

WHAT YOU BRING

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• Internship or academic experience in application development
• Proficiency in Python and SQL
• Basic understanding of software testing principles
• Strong problem-solving skills and a positive, growth-oriented attitude
• Experience with Pytest (nice to have)
• Familiarity with AWS cloud services (nice to have)
• Knowledge of Kafka or other data streaming technologies (nice to have)
