SCC LIMS Configuration Specialist
Remote
$50-$60 per hour
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 9-12 month contract with extension possible
ABOUT THE ROLE
Our Client is seeking a highly skilled SCC LIMS Configuration Specialist for a remote, contract-based role focused on configuring and optimizing the SCC Genzy LIMS platform (versions 3.x/4.x), with a particular emphasis on oncology laboratory workflows. The specialist will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining system configurations, developing workflow logic, managing EDI mappings, and supporting configuration migration across multiple environments. Additional responsibilities include creating and maintaining patient report templates, leading vendor meetings, managing issue resolution, and collaborating with laboratory stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective system solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with SCC modules such as Flow, DxPath, and SoftAR, a strong understanding of laboratory and oncology workflows, and proven skills in troubleshooting, vendor management, and system integrity assurance. Experience with IWS integration and prior work in clinical laboratory or healthcare IT environments is preferred.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Design, build, and maintain system configurations within SCC Genzy LIMS (v3.x/4.x)
- Configure oncology-related tests, panels, markers, and group tests
- Develop and manage workflow logic, including routing rules, triggers, macros, and actions
- Set up and maintain departments, workstations, lab IDs, and user roles
- Manage EDI mappings, reference ranges, and result codes
- Design and maintain patient report templates, including macros, canned text, and report formatting (headers, footers, comments)
- Support configuration migration across environments (Dev, QA, Production)
- Participate in release planning, system updates, and hotfix deployments
- Ensure system integrity and stability during changes
- Lead weekly meetings with the SCC vendor
- Track, manage, and report on vendor tickets and issue resolution
- Review internal IT tickets, perform root cause analysis, and route appropriately
- Partner with lab stakeholders to gather and translate business requirements
- Support oncology-specific workflows and operational needs
- Work closely with configuration leads to ensure timely and accurate delivery
WHAT YOU BRING
- Hands-on configuration experience with SCC Genzy LIMS (v3.x/4.x)
- Direct experience with SCC modules: Flow (workflow configuration), DxPath (pathology workflows), SoftAR (billing configuration)
- Experience building tests, workflows, and system logic within SCC
- Strong understanding of laboratory workflows, preferably oncology
- Experience managing configurations across multiple environments (Dev, QA, Production)
- Experience with IWS (Instrument Workstation) integration (preferred)
- Prior experience in clinical laboratory or healthcare IT environments (preferred)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience working with vendors and managing support tickets
