Job Description:
Product Manager – Operational Performance Dashboards
Vinings, GA
On-Site Role (5 days a week)
$63/hour (Contract with likelihood of extension)
ABOUT THE ROLE
Our Client is seeking a strategic and proactive Product Manager to lead the development and execution of operational performance dashboards for field leaders. This role is responsible for shaping and executing the strategy for a near real-time operational dashboard used by field leaders, surfacing key metrics such as sales, comps, on-shelf availability, markdowns, labor, customer feedback, shrink, and task execution across mobile and desktop platforms. The Product Manager will collaborate closely with operations, merchandising, HR, data and analytics, and technology teams to drive clarity, ensure data quality, and deliver impactful features that improve execution, associate productivity, and overall customer experience. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with very strong stakeholder engagement skills, proactive enough to navigate initial uncertainty, define "swimlanes," and master both the product and the internal political landscape. This is an on-site contract position based in Vinings, GA, with the potential for extension.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Develop and evolve the product vision, roadmap, and OKRs aligned to enterprise operational priorities such as sales, in-stock, shrink, labor, customer experience, and operational excellence.
- Build a deep understanding of field leader workflows and how they interact with dashboard tools; identify opportunities to streamline work and reduce tool fragmentation.
- Translate business goals and user needs into clear product outcomes, hypotheses, and prioritized features using data and voice-of-customer insights.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (operations, merchandising, HR, data/analytics, technology) to manage dependencies, data contracts, and shared experiences across related reporting tools.
- Serve as product owner for the balanced team, maintaining a refined backlog focused on high-value problems.
- Lead discovery and experimentation for new capabilities using feature flags, pilots, and iterative validation.
- Work closely with engineering, UX, data engineering, and QA to ensure clarity, feasibility, and high-quality delivery.
- Own product availability, performance, and data trust through prioritization of KTLO work and reliability improvements.
- Ensure consistent metric definitions and alignment across related reporting and analytics tools.
- Partner with training and communications teams to support launches, pilots, and change management.
- Act as the primary point of contact for the product with field partners and internal business stakeholders.
- Facilitate feedback sessions, pilots, and listening forums to gather insights and convert them into backlog items.
- Communicate progress, roadmap updates, and outcomes through data-driven storytelling and product artifacts.
- Model modern product management practices, fostering an empowered and collaborative team environment.
- Contribute to the broader product management community by sharing best practices and learnings.
WHAT YOU BRING
- 3+ years of product management (or related) experience within a modern software development environment.
- Experience working with data-rich or analytics products such as dashboards or operational reporting tools.
- Strong familiarity with agile practices including backlog management, user stories, iteration planning, and continuous feedback.
- Proven ability to collaborate with engineering, UX, and business stakeholders to deliver customer-facing experiences.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex data and technical concepts for diverse audiences.
- Strategic thinker with very strong stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proactive and able to navigate uncertainty, define roles and "swimlanes," and master both product and internal political landscape.
- Experience partnering with cross-functional teams (operations, merchandising, HR, data/analytics, technology).
- Ability to lead discovery, experimentation, and iterative validation of new capabilities.
- On-site availability in Vinings, GA, five days a week.
