By standardizing data and visual design, we enable scalable analytics, data literacy, and the foundation for AI-driven solutions. As a Fabric Data Engineer, you will design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines and semantic models that serve as the foundation for scalable self-service analytics. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of data engineering and analytics, with a passion for shaping raw data into clean, governed, and reusable assets that empower decision-making. You will work in Microsoft Fabric and other modern data platforms to deliver high-quality data products that power Finance analytics, reporting directly to the Senior Director of the Analytics Engineering and Visualization Hub.

  • Transform and enrich data through Fabric dataflows Gen2, stored procedures, and notebooks
  • Design and maintain lakehouses and data warehouses to support scalable analytics
  • Build and manage enterprise-grade semantic models with reusable metrics and robust access controls
  • Implement and enforce data governance, quality, and documentation standards
  • Optimize performance and reliability of data pipelines and models
  • Partner with Finance stakeholders, enterprise data engineers, and AEV Hub analysts to deliver accurate, relevant, and actionable insights
  • Contribute to self-service analytics enablement through training and support for end users
  • Collaborate using Git-based workflows (GitHub) and support CI/CD practices for data products
  • Support the development and deployment of Power BI semantic models and dashboards
  • Ensure compliance with data security, access controls, and documentation best practices

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related technical field
  • 3+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or business intelligence
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with data transformation tools (Power Query, PySpark, T-SQL)
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, Azure Databricks, or similar cloud data platforms
  • Experience designing and maintaining lakehouses and data warehouses
  • Experience building and managing enterprise-grade semantic models
  • Strong understanding of data modeling principles and semantic layer design
  • Experience with Git-based workflows (GitHub) and CI/CD for data products
  • Power BI or Microsoft Fabric certification (PL-300, DP-600) preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric components: lakehouses, dataflows, pipelines, notebooks, semantic models
  • Experience building Power BI semantic models and dashboards
  • Familiarity with Power BI service (workspaces, deployment, RLS, dataflows)
  • Experience working in Finance or with financial data (SAP) is a plus
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship)
