Project Risk Manager

Remote Role

Compensation: $35 per hour


ABOUT THE ROLE

Our Client is seeking a skilled Project Risk Manager to lead risk management efforts and ensure successful project delivery. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks throughout the project lifecycle. You will monitor project activities for potential risks, take timely action to address or escalate them, and advise stakeholders and project team members on risk-related actions. The Project Risk Manager will also develop and maintain project plans for scope, schedule, and cost control; coordinate and document changes to project baselines; maintain project logs; and ensure effective communication with project teams and stakeholders. You will prepare written status reports, scorecards, and present project review documents to senior leadership. Additionally, you will collect and manage project issues, capture key lessons learned at project or phase completion, and apply those lessons to improve future project outcomes.


WHAT YOU'LL DO


  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks throughout the project lifecycle
  • Monitor project activities for potential risks and take timely action to address or escalate them
  • Advise stakeholders and project team members on actions required or completed regarding risk management
  • Develop and maintain effective plans for controlling project scope, schedule, and cost
  • Monitor project execution to ensure adherence to established plans
  • Create and coordinate documentation to explain changes or potential changes to project baselines and ensure approved changes are implemented
  • Maintain project logs of all submitted changes and their status
  • Develop and implement effective communication plans for project information dissemination to the project team and stakeholders
  • Prepare written status reports, scorecards, and create/present project review documents to senior leadership
  • Collect, document, and manage timely resolution of project issues
  • Capture and communicate key lessons learned at the completion of a project or project phase to peer Project Managers
  • Effectively apply lessons learned to improve outcomes in subsequent projects

WHAT YOU BRING


  • Experience in risk identification, assessment, and mitigation within project environments
  • Proven ability to develop and monitor project plans for scope, schedule, and cost control
  • Strong documentation skills for managing project changes and maintaining project logs
  • Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement and project reporting
  • Ability to prepare and present project status reports, scorecards, and review documents to senior leadership
  • Experience in issue tracking and timely resolution management
  • Skilled in capturing and applying lessons learned to future projects
