Position Overview

We are seeking a driven and organized Sr. Program Manager to lead and coordinate multiple established software development teams while supporting strategic technology initiatives, including GenAI-related projects. This role requires strong cross-functional leadership and the ability to drive execution across teams that may not report directly to you.

The Program Manager will play a key role in ensuring alignment, delivery, and operational excellence across a portfolio of IT and software development projects.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage 3–4 established software development teams (approximately 10 team members each).
  • Drive planning, execution, and delivery of multiple concurrent IT and software projects.
  • Coordinate across cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to ensure milestones are met.
  • Proactively follow up with internal and external teams to remove blockers and maintain momentum.
  • Track project timelines, budgets, risks, and dependencies.
  • Facilitate status reporting and executive updates.
  • Support new project initiatives as needed, including potential GenAI-focused efforts.
  • Ensure alignment with program-level strategy and objectives.
  • Promote best practices in project governance, documentation, and communication.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of program management experience required.
  • Certified Project Manager (PMP or equivalent) preferred but not required.
  • Experience managing IT and software development projects required.
  • Experience in oil & gas drilling or energy industry environments strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or hybrid delivery methodologies.
  • Experience coordinating multiple teams simultaneously.
  • Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive results in environments where teams may not report directly to you.
