Job Title: Lead Data Scientist
Location: Remote
Start Date: ASAP
Position Overview
The Lead Data Scientist will serve as a senior technical contributor within the healthcare analytics team. This role will design, develop, and implement advanced machine learning models while supporting Generative AI initiatives. The individual will mentor junior data scientists and partner closely with stakeholders to drive high-impact, data-driven decisions. This position is ideal for a seasoned Data Scientist with strong healthcare experience and exposure to LLM and Gen AI technologies.
Job Responsibilities
• Develop and deploy advanced machine learning models
• Apply statistical modeling and hypothesis testing methodologies
• Support RAG systems and LLM-based initiatives
• Collaborate with clinical and analytics stakeholders
• Mentor junior data scientists
• Contribute to best practices in model governance and documentation
• Drive innovation in AI and advanced analytics within healthcare
Qualifications
• 8–10 years of Data Science experience
• 4+ years of Python experience
• 4+ years of SQL experience
• Strong background in machine learning and statistical modeling
• Generative AI exposure required (project-level experience acceptable)
• Healthcare background required
• EPIC experience preferred
• Cogito certification preferred
• Strong analytical and leadership skills
