Associate Project Manager — Mobile Analytics (MVNO & 5G)
Greenwood Village, CO (Hybrid: 4 days onsite / 1 day remote)
Contract: 12–18 months (conversion to FTE expected)
Compensation: $25–$30/hr DOE
ABOUT THE ROLE
Charter’s Mobile Analytics organization is expanding its portfolio of MVNO and 5G initiatives and seeks an Associate Project Manager to bridge technical teams and business leaders. In this hybrid role, you will ensure clear visibility into project plans and risks, maintain delivery momentum without overburdening engineers, and foster strong partnerships across Data Analysis, Pipeline, and Spatial teams. You will play a key role in translating technical discussions into actionable plans, centralizing project management, and providing executive-ready updates. This is an opportunity to make a tangible impact on high-visibility projects, with the expectation of converting to a full-time role.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Plan and deliver enhancements across the MVNO/5G analytics portfolio, managing schedules, dependencies, risks, and stakeholder alignment from kickoff through release
- Facilitate working sessions with engineering leads (Data Analysis, Pipeline, Spatial) to clarify scope, capture decisions, and translate conversations into actionable plans and backlog items
- Centralize fragmented project plans (e.g., from Excel) into shared planning tools (Microsoft Planner, Jira, Azure DevOps) to create a single source of truth for status and ownership
- Build executive-ready “one-pagers” in PowerPoint that summarize status, risks, and decisions for leadership, tiering detail for the audience while keeping deep detail in the system of record
- Drive cross-team communication by setting agendas, publishing notes, following through on action items, and escalating blockers with crisp context and options
- Support reporting automation and data-driven decision-making, contributing to Tableau-based reporting alongside the analytics team
- Contribute to portfolio hygiene by entering and updating annual goals in portfolio systems (e.g., Nexus) and ensuring initiatives are traceable from goals to delivery
WHAT YOU BRING
- Exceptional communication skills with technical teams; ability to facilitate, probe for edge cases, translate technical nuance into business language, and negotiate realistic timelines while maintaining credibility with engineers
- Experience with structured project planning and centralizing plans using tools like Microsoft Planner, Jira, or Azure DevOps; comfort moving teams from ad-hoc spreadsheets into a central plan and maintaining single-source-of-truth clarity
- Proficiency in creating executive-ready status updates and visual “one-pagers” in PowerPoint that convey status, risks, and asks at a glance
- Strong stakeholder management across analytics, product, and data engineering teams, especially in mobile/MVNO/5G environments
- Proactive risk management, bias for action, and consistent follow-through on action items and communications
- Experience supporting Tableau reporting or similar BI tools (nice to have)
- Familiarity with portfolio management systems (e.g., Nexus) and quarterly/annual planning practices (nice to have)
- Understanding of communication frameworks (e.g., DiSC) to adapt style as needed (nice to have)
- Relevant certifications such as CAPM, PMP, or AWS Cloud Practitioner (nice to have)
