Senior Application Analyst
Remote Role
This is a Remote role.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Our Client is seeking a Senior Application Analyst responsible for expert-level support, configuration, and administration of assigned applications, with a focus on enhancing operational efficiencies across the organization. This role involves training and mentoring junior analysts, assisting customers at all organizational levels, proactively managing and troubleshooting issues, and ensuring high-quality application availability. The Senior Application Analyst will work closely with IT teams and stakeholders to manage change, provide recommendations for budget projections and project management, and ensure that services provided contribute to the successful accomplishment of departmental goals. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience), at least five years of relevant IT or clinical/business workflow experience, and expertise in supporting large-scale clinical or business environments. Required certifications include Epic Cadence and either Epic MyChart or Epic Ambulatory. Strong project management skills, technical troubleshooting abilities, and demonstrated leadership are essential for success in this position.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Provide expert-level support, configuration, and administration of assigned applications, including Epic Cadence and MyChart.
  • Assist, train, and mentor junior analysts and end users on application operation and best practices.
  • Collaborate with customers and stakeholders at all organizational levels to enhance understanding and utilization of application tools for operational efficiency.
  • Proactively troubleshoot, resolve, and document application issues, coordinating with IT teams as needed.
  • Manage and implement application changes, ensuring quality delivery, system availability, and alignment with departmental mission.
  • Support large-scale clinical, ancillary, or business environments, including workflow analysis and optimization.
  • Build and maintain decision trees, provider records (SER Build), welcome kiosks, referrals, authorizations, patient/authorization/referral work queues, and ticket scheduling within applications.
  • Provide support and build for MyChart, Epic Cheers, and Epic Provider Finder.
  • Maintain required certifications (e.g., Epic) and stay current with application updates and best practices.
  • Contribute to project management activities, including planning, execution, and budget recommendations for system implementations.
  • Demonstrate leadership and effective communication skills with multidisciplinary teams, patients, physicians, family members, and co-workers.
  • Ensure services provided contribute to the successful accomplishment of the department’s mission and goals.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field; or equivalent experience as a licensed clinical or certified IT professional (an additional four years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree).
  • Five years’ experience in IT, clinical, or business workflow support.
  • Experience supporting large-scale clinical, ancillary, or business environments.
  • Expertise in Decision Tree Build, Provider Record Maintenance (SER Build), Welcome Kiosk Build, Referrals and Authorization, Patient/Authorization/Referral Work Queues, and Ticket Scheduling build.
  • Experience with MyChart support, Epic Cheers support and build, Epic Provider Finder, and project management skills.
  • Epic Cadence certification required; Epic MyChart or Epic Ambulatory certification required and must be maintained.
  • Certification appropriate to assigned application (e.g., Epic); must be maintained as required.
  • Demonstrated ability to train, mentor, and support junior analysts and customers.
  • Expert troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for system issues, with the ability to engineer expert solutions with IT customers and vendors.
  • Strong technical skills to support multiple applications and projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies for large-scale system implementations.
  • Strong knowledge of multidisciplinary clinical or business information systems.
  • Excellent communication skills with patients, physicians, family members, and co-workers, with a customer service focus and positive language principles.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and a proactive approach to all areas of responsibility.
  • Proficiency in English (speaking, reading, writing) for job functions impacting safety and security.
  • Ability to deliver high-quality application administration and ensure application availability.
  • Demonstrates the skills and competencies necessary to safely perform the assigned job, determined through ongoing skills, competency assessments, and performance evaluations.
