Job Description:
Product Manager - AI Adoption & Developer Enablement
Greenwood Village, CO
Onsite 4 Days/Week (Hybrid)
W-2 Contract | Compensation: $60-68/hr
ABOUT THE ROLE
Join Charter Communications, one of the largest telecommunications and media companies in the United States, as a Product Manager specializing in AI Adoption & Developer Enablement. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a small, high-output innovation team focused on driving measurable AI adoption across a community of 8,500 developers. Unlike traditional roadmap-maintenance roles, you will have direct ownership of a high-impact mandate: increasing daily AI tool usage from 40% to 80% by year-end. You’ll work in a data-driven, fast-moving environment where every recommendation must be backed by analysis and defended in front of senior leadership. Reporting to a hands-on engineering and strategy leader, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional partners to shape how a major enterprise leverages AI in software development. This role is ideal for product managers with a strong connection to software development, a passion for data-driven decision making, and a desire to drive real change in a complex enterprise setting.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own and drive the AI adoption product strategy to increase daily usage among 8,500 developers from 40% to 80% by year-end
- Build, manage, and facilitate a Community of Practice (CoP) with 25-100 developer champions, ensuring structured agendas, recurring cadences, and measurable outcomes from every session
- Design and execute rollout strategies for AI tooling across the software development lifecycle—including code generation, debugging, documentation, and related use cases
- Pull, analyze, and present platform usage data to inform strategic decisions and track adoption progress against program goals
- Collaborate closely with a principal architect (R&D), developer advocate, and tech writer to align education, training, and innovation workstreams
- Serve as a cross-functional liaison to Charter’s broader product, video, and testing teams as AI adoption expands beyond the initial developer group
- Present strategy recommendations and adoption progress to senior Charter leadership, defending data-backed positions under scrutiny
- Support RFP evaluation, vendor comparison, and tool selection processes tied to the AI developer tooling roadmap
WHAT YOU BRING
- 4-5 years of product management experience, with demonstrated work on products for developers, engineers, or technical users
- Meaningful exposure to the software development lifecycle (SDLC) through PM work, development background, or formal training (bootcamp, certifications, etc.)
- Proven ability to use data for product strategy—including pulling, analyzing, and presenting usage data as the basis for recommendations
- Experience managing or contributing to community programs, champions networks, working groups, or cross-functional committees at scale
- Comfort with Python (NumPy or equivalent) or Excel for data analysis and reporting (production-level coding not required; focus is on applied analytical use)
- Familiarity with software development concepts: sprint cycles, version control (e.g., GitLab/GitHub), CI/CD pipelines, and developer tooling ecosystems
- Interest in or working knowledge of AI developer tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Amazon CodeWhisperer) is a strong plus
- Data-first decision maker—comfortable defending analysis and recommendations, and being challenged on your thinking
- Output-oriented, focused on measurable adoption and improvement, not just process
- Ability to build structure in ambiguous environments and work independently without waiting for permission
- Strong communication and facilitation skills for both technical and executive audiences; able to run sessions with large developer groups or present to senior leadership with equal effectiveness
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred; equivalent experience considered, especially for candidates with business analysis, engineering, or technical program management backgrounds
