$65 per hour (Contract through 2026 with a strong liklihood of extension)


ABOUT THE ROLE

Our client is seeking a Data Analyst 3 to join their enterprise data, analytics, and governance organization in Atlanta, GA, on a hybrid basis for a contract through 2026. In this role, you will partner with business and technology stakeholders to design, develop, and deliver data-driven insights that enable informed decision-making. You will be responsible for translating business requirements into scalable reporting and analytics solutions, ensuring data accuracy, and communicating insights through compelling visualizations and storytelling. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented, analytical professional who thrives in a collaborative, cross-functional environment and is passionate about leveraging data to drive strategic initiatives and process improvements.


WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Partner with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into analytics and reporting solutions.
  • Design, develop, and maintain dashboards, reports, and data extracts using SQL, Excel, Power BI, and other reporting tools.
  • Perform data analysis to support strategic initiatives, operational insights, and KPI tracking.
  • Identify, validate, and integrate data from multiple sources using ETL processes.
  • Ensure data quality, completeness, and accuracy through validation and testing.
  • Communicate insights clearly through visualizations, presentations, and executive-ready materials.
  • Maintain reporting databases and support ongoing enhancements and optimization.
  • Act as a change agent by recommending data-backed process improvements and best practices.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally in a matrixed environment to support analytics and data governance initiatives.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or data management.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in SQL, Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Python and/or R for data analysis.
  • Strong analytical skills in data mining, query development, and visualization.
  • Ability to interpret complex data sets and translate findings into actionable insights.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with ETL processes and integrating multiple data sources.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, Maximo).
  • Experience with GIS tools such as FME or Esri (ArcGIS).
  • Working knowledge of data science and machine learning concepts.
  • Experience presenting insights to executive-level stakeholders.
  • Utilities, energy, or regulated industry experience (preferred).
  • Demonstrated stakeholder communication and influence skills.
  • Strong project and time management abilities.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a matrixed environment.
