Remote Role

ABOUT THE ROLE

Join our Epic Reports team as a Senior Reports Developer, where you will play a key role in the prioritization, design, and development of reports and analytics solutions. You will leverage your expertise in Epic Clarity and Caboodle, utilizing Cogito SQL and SAP BusinessObjects tools (Crystal and Webi) to deliver high-quality analytical and operational reports. This position requires a strong background in SQL query development and optimization for both Oracle and Microsoft platforms, as well as the ability to manage complex projects from inception to completion. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, customers, and vendors, ensuring that reporting solutions align with business needs and Epic EMR workflows. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering actionable insights through data.

WHAT YOU'LL DO


  • Analyze report requirements, recommend, and develop appropriate reporting solutions
  • Design, develop, test, and troubleshoot Epic Clarity and Caboodle analytical and operational reports
  • Develop reports using Cogito SQL, SAP BusinessObjects suite (Crystal Reports, Web Intelligence/Webi), and other reporting tools
  • Perform SQL query development and optimization in both Oracle and Microsoft environments
  • Take full ownership of complex assignments and projects, ensuring timely completion
  • Assist with technical and tactical direction for projects and effective utilization of reporting tools
  • Conduct thorough testing and quality assessment to deliver high-quality results
  • Prioritize and manage multiple assignments to meet deadlines and organizational goals
  • Work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating strong initiative
  • Identify problem areas and propose effective solutions to improve reporting processes
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively across teams, customers, and vendors
  • Understand Epic EMR workflows as they relate to report requests and ensure alignment with business needs
  • Utilize knowledge of Epic Caboodle, Reporting Workbench (RW SQL), Radar, SlicerDicer, and SAP Universes as needed
  • Develop Tableau front-end visualizations and backend structures as required
  • Leverage knowledge of Databricks development when applicable
  • Maintain excellent verbal and written communication skills throughout all project phases

WHAT YOU BRING


  • Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in reports development, including Epic Clarity/Caboodle analytical and operational reports
  • Proficiency in SQL query development and optimization (Oracle and Microsoft)
  • Hands-on experience with Epic Clarity and Caboodle reports development using Cogito SQL
  • Proficiency with SAP BusinessObjects suite tools (Crystal Reports, Web Intelligence/Webi)
  • Epic Clarity certifications preferred (Ambulatory, Inpatient, Cadence, OpTime, ASAP, ADT, Professional Billing)
  • Knowledge of Epic Caboodle database, Reporting Workbench (RW SQL), Radar, and SlicerDicer applications preferred
  • Experience with SAP Universes and Tableau development a plus
  • Knowledge of Databricks development a plus
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments to meet deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively across teams, customers, and vendors
