Job Description:
Program Manager
Brooksource
Fortune 50 Health Insurance Client
Remote
Our client is embarking on a large-scale Epic implementation to transform its clinical technology landscape. We are seeking a Senior Program Manager to provide strategic oversight and hands-on leadership throughout the implementation, with a focus on integrations within the Pre-Authorization and Care Management domains.
This individual will play a key role in ensuring successful alignment across technical, clinical, and business workstreams. The ideal candidate brings deep experience leading complex technology programs, strong communication and executive presence, and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical architects, developers, and external partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive program execution for major Epic-related initiatives, ensuring milestones, risks, and dependencies are effectively managed across multiple workstreams.
- Partner with Architects and Developers to oversee systems integration activities related to Pre-Authorization and Care Management functions.
- Serve as a key liaison between clinical technology leadership, IT delivery teams, and external vendors.
- Support executive-level communication and reporting, developing presentations and updates for C-level and senior leadership audiences.
- Ensure program governance, change control, and risk management processes are consistently applied.
- Provide structure and clarity in a complex, cross-functional environment — anticipating challenges and proactively driving solutions.
- Support the organization through all phases of implementation — from initial integration through go-live and production stabilization.
Qualifications:
- 10–15 years of experience in Program or Project Management within large, complex technology implementations.
- Experience working with enterprise-scale healthcare systems (Epic experience preferred but not required).
- Proven success leading cross-functional teams that include technical and clinical stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of systems integration, data flow, and interoperability concepts.
- Exceptional communication and executive presentation skills; able to confidently engage with senior leaders and external partners.
- Highly organized, analytical, and proactive — able to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- PMP or equivalent certification preferred.
Preferred Experience:
- Prior experience with healthcare payer or provider technology programs.
- Familiarity with pre-authorization, utilization management, or care management systems.
- Experience partnering with large consulting firms in a delivery capacity.
