Commercial Transactions Paralegal
Brentwood, TN
Hybrid Role (Temporary)
Our client is seeking a Commercial Transactions Paralegal for a temporary, hybrid role based in Brentwood, TN. This position provides comprehensive paralegal support to the Commercial Transactions team within the Legal Department, focusing on reviewing, drafting, and organizing a variety of commercial agreements and related documentation to support business operations. The successful candidate will manage the contract lifecycle, maintain templates and resources, track key terms and deadlines, conduct legal and business research, and coordinate with internal stakeholders. The role also involves supporting special projects, preparing reports and correspondence, scheduling meetings, monitoring shared inboxes, and improving departmental efficiency through updated forms and checklists. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates strong organizational skills and attention to detail, and efficiently supports attorneys with transactional matters.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of paralegal experience, with prior focus on commercial transactions or contracts preferred
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and contract management tools
- Strong drafting and document organization skills
- Detail-oriented with excellent follow-through and time management abilities
- Strong interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication, collaboration, and professionalism
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Paralegal Certificate strongly preferred
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review, draft, and edit a variety of commercial agreements, including vendor, service, supply, licensing, and confidentiality agreements
- Assist attorneys in managing the contract lifecycle, including intake, review, redlines, negotiation support, and final execution
- Organize and maintain contract templates, playbooks, and related resources for the Legal Department
- Track key contract terms, obligations, and deadlines to ensure compliance and timely follow-up
- Conduct legal and business research on commercial and regulatory topics relevant to contracts
- Coordinate with internal business partners and stakeholders to gather information and assist with due diligence
- Support special projects and initiatives for the Commercial Transactions team as needed
- Prepare correspondence, summaries, and reports for attorneys and business partners
- Schedule meetings, manage calendars, and coordinate logistics for contract negotiations or project updates
- Monitor shared inboxes and triage incoming requests to the appropriate team members
- Develop and update department forms, checklists, and reference materials to improve efficiency
