Futures & Derivatives Trading Support Analyst
100% Remote
Join our Global Capital Markets – Trading Technology Support team as a Futures & Derivatives Trading Support Analyst. In this 100% remote role, you will provide front-line application and technical support for global futures trading desks, acting as the first point of contact for traders and exchanges. You will troubleshoot trade failures, order routing issues, and exchange connectivity problems, and play a key role in strategic initiatives such as the implementation of a new Order Management System (OMS) for derivatives. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment where urgency and precision are critical. You will collaborate with teams across Trading, Compliance, Operations, Risk, and Clearing, and support market events by reacting quickly to outages and unexpected issues. This position requires deep expertise in futures and derivatives trading environments, strong technical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders, clients, and vendors.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in futures or derivatives trading environments with a deep understanding of trade lifecycle, order routing, and execution on global exchanges (e.g., CME, ICE, Eurex)
- Strong technical skills including proficiency in Excel for data analysis and reporting, SQL for querying and issue investigation, and basic scripting/programming (Python, Java, C#) for automation and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with FIX Protocol for trade execution and messaging, Jira/Confluence for ticketing and documentation, and trading systems such as Fidessa GTP and Trading Technologies (TT)
- Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills; comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders, clients, and vendors
- Ability to multitask and perform under pressure in a fast-paced, global team environment
- Strong investigative and troubleshooting mindset with attention to detail and urgency
- University degree or college diploma in Finance, Computer Science, or a related field
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide front-line application and technical support for global futures trading desks, including troubleshooting trade failures, order routing issues, and exchange connectivity problems
- Act as the first point of contact for traders and exchanges when issues arise
- Perform pre-market checks to ensure trading systems are operational and ready before market open
- Collaborate with global teams in Trading, Compliance, Operations, Risk, and Clearing to resolve complex issues and improve operational efficiency
- Communicate with clients and vendors to troubleshoot and resolve external trading issues
- Participate in projects impacting the trading desk, including new market onboarding and systems integration
- Contribute to the implementation and rollout of a new OMS specifically designed for derivatives and futures trading
- Help define workflows and support documentation for new systems and processes
- Support the futures desk during market events, reacting quickly to outages, failed trades, and unexpected issues
- Utilize technical skills (Excel, FIX Protocol, SQL, Python/Java/C#) for data analysis, reporting, and issue investigation
- Work closely with internal teams to strengthen overall support practices and drive operational improvements
- Demonstrate expertise in derivatives and futures trading, including commodities, gas, oil, and financial futures
- Be prepared to share specific exchanges and products you have supported
