Digital Content Copywriter
Hybrid Role - Ft. Worth, TX
Compensation: $57.19 - $57.20 per hour
ABOUT THE ROLE
Our client is seeking a Digital Content Copywriter responsible for creating, publishing, and maintaining customer-focused content across digital channels. This role ensures all content is accurate, engaging, and adheres to brand and editorial standards, while supporting a seamless digital customer experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in writing concise, web/mobile-friendly copy for major brands, with the ability to translate complex technical or policy information into clear, customer-friendly messaging. You will collaborate closely with IT and business teams, optimize content processes, and play a key role in developing content quality metrics. Experience in the travel or airline industry is a plus. Candidates must provide a portfolio demonstrating their ability to reword complex policy content into high-volume, customer-facing commercial copy.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Create and publish customer-focused digital content, ensuring accuracy, adherence to standards, and engaging, user-friendly messaging across all digital channels
- Write and edit copy for functional applications, including error messages, terms and conditions, instructions, and product descriptions
- Maintain consistency in voice and standards by managing the digital lexicon and ensuring alignment with brand guidelines
- Update and manage content within the content management system (CMS) using predefined templates, HTML, CSS, and JSON fragments
- Apply editorial expertise and leverage data analysis to continuously improve the customer experience and optimize content quality
- Translate complex technical or policy information into clear, concise, and customer-friendly language suitable for high-traffic/transaction websites and Generative AI applications
- Develop and implement content quality metrics and support processes to keep content current, accurate, and relevant
- Collaborate daily with IT and business teams in a digital customer experience environment to ensure seamless content delivery
- Translate written requirements into visual solutions such as wireframes, site maps, and page flows
- Optimize global content development and management processes and tools
- Participate in an on-call rotation for urgent publishing alerts related to operational issues, including weekends and late nights (e.g., weather delays, cancellations)
WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communication, Arts, English, or equivalent experience/training
- 3 years of experience writing concise, web/mobile-friendly copy for major brands and high-traffic/transaction websites
- 1–3 years of experience with HTML, CSS, and JSON fragments, and using advanced technologies for content creation and maintenance
- Copywriting and design experience, with a strong online portfolio/samples of work required
- Experience with customer-facing content, including for Generative AI applications
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Knowledge Management and/or other CMS platforms (e.g., TeamSite)
- Strong digital content writing, editing, and content strategy skills
- Ability to translate complex technical or policy information into clear, customer-friendly language
- Knowledge of AP Style, SEO, accessibility, analytics, and information architecture
- Ability to tailor copy to diverse audience needs and maintain digital lexicon consistency
- Self-starter with strong analytical skills, adaptability to change, and demonstrated success collaborating across teams and working independently
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing at all organizational levels
- Demonstrated ability to reword heavy policy content into high commercial volume, customer-facing information (portfolio must include such examples; blogs/media not considered)
- Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation for publishing alerts (including weekends/late nights)
- Airline or travel industry experience or knowledge is a plus
- Project management experience within a marketing or digital environment is preferred
- Creative skills and working knowledge of content strategy
