Maintenance Coordinator

On-Site role - Gleason, TN

Compensation: (1-year contract, $50/hr)


ABOUT THE ROLE

Our client is seeking a Maintenance Coordinator for a 1-year onsite contract in Gleason, TN. In this critical role, you will be responsible for implementing and overseeing maintenance activities to ensure efficient and effective plant operations. You will develop work packages, optimize work sequencing and scheduling, and coordinate maintenance metrics. The Maintenance Coordinator will drive the strategic analysis and continuous improvement of the work management system, optimize resource utilization, prepare and update maintenance procedures, and train employees. This position requires strong coordination and communication skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment, and a commitment to safety and regulatory compliance. Some travel and shift work may be required, and the candidate may need to obtain and maintain a security clearance.


WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Implement the Conduct of Maintenance by ensuring timely and efficient development of work packages, optimal sequencing of work, preparation of work schedules, and coordination of leading maintenance metrics.
  • Drive strategic development, analysis, and continuous improvement of the work management system to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Develop and optimize work planning packages for the effective deployment of TVA resources in maintaining plant equipment and systems.
  • Manage and track work activities, including researching and resolving planning and scheduling issues, and ensuring adherence to established processes for maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Prepare, update, and maintain maintenance and operation procedures and instructions.
  • Train employees on the work management system and related processes to ensure consistent application and understanding.
  • Determine the most effective resource utilization among plant forces, partners, specialty contractors, or other TVA organizations to ensure work is adequately completed.
  • Perform work management and accounting ledger verifications to ensure accuracy and compliance with organizational standards.
  • Promote a strong teamwork environment that fosters operational focus and continuous improvement, utilizing STAR 7 values.
  • Provide supervision of employees and contractors as needed to ensure successful project completion.
  • Successfully complete and maintain required safety and regulatory training and certifications.
  • May require travel and shift work to meet the needs of the power generation system.
  • Obtain and maintain a security clearance as required by position or access requirements.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • B.S. degree in a technical field or equivalent education, training, and experience.
  • Substantial plant or related experience required.
  • Ability to coordinate information from various sources and interface with multiple stakeholders and customers.
  • Experience with work planning, scheduling, and maintenance coordination in an industrial or plant environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and a continuous improvement mindset for work management systems.
  • Proven ability to prepare and update maintenance and operation procedures/instructions.
  • Experience training employees on work management systems and related processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and track work activities, including problem-solving for planning and scheduling issues.
  • Willingness to travel and work shifts as required to support plant operations.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance if required by the position.
  • Successful completion and ongoing maintenance of safety and regulatory training and certifications.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to supervise employees and contractors as needed.
