Associate Cloud Platform Engineer
Remote
Contract to hire
Compensation: $30 -$35
ABOUT THE ROLE
Brooksource is seeking a motivated Associate Cloud Platform Engineer to join our Fortune 500 Healthcare Insurance Client. In this remote, contract-to-hire position, you will support and enhance the cloud infrastructure and Databricks platform. This opportunity is ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals with hands-on experience in cloud platform engineering. You will work closely with senior engineers, contribute to cloud improvement initiatives, and help ensure the stability, performance, and scalability of critical cloud systems.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Support and maintain the Databricks platform, ensuring stability, performance, and scalability.
- Assist in the development and optimization of cloud infrastructure, including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure scripting, and user access management.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using tools like Terraform.
- Write and maintain Python scripts for automation, monitoring, and infrastructure tasks.
- Participate in cloud improvement initiatives, contributing to architecture reviews and platform enhancements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve cloud-related issues across environments.
- Document processes, configurations, and best practices to support team knowledge sharing.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (preferably AWS).
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts and tools.
- Proficiency in Python scripting for automation and infrastructure tasks.
- Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning (nice to have).
- Exposure to Databricks or similar data platforms (nice to have).
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices (nice to have).
