ABOUT THE ROLE

Our client is seeking a Senior Salesforce Developer to lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of scalable Salesforce solutions that enhance clinical and operational processes across the organization. In this remote, contract-to-hire position, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, project stakeholders, and business partners to deliver secure, high-quality applications tailored to both clinical and operational needs. You will be responsible for developing and documenting custom Salesforce components—including Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, and API integrations—leveraging both low-code/no-code and advanced customizations. The Senior Salesforce Developer ensures reliable, reusable, and compliant solutions, coordinates with vendors and third parties to integrate Salesforce into the broader technical ecosystem, and champions continuous process improvement to optimize workflows and user adoption. This role requires a strong technical background, a commitment to healthcare compliance standards, and the ability to drive innovative solutions in a dynamic environment.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Design, develop, troubleshoot, and implement Salesforce solutions including Apex classes, Lightning Web Components, Flows, and custom workflows.
  • Build and maintain user interfaces and automation within Salesforce to support business and clinical processes.
  • Manage assigned support tickets and queues, resolving issues promptly and identifying trends to propose proactive solutions.
  • Participate in all phases of Salesforce implementations, including configuration, customization, integration, and data migration.
  • Deliver secure, high-quality, results-driven solutions using Salesforce best practices, enterprise methodologies, and healthcare compliance standards.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation including design specifications, solution architecture, and deployment guides.
  • Apply programming and scripting knowledge to extend Salesforce functionality and integrate with external systems.
  • Leverage continuous process improvement principles to optimize workflows and enhance user adoption.
  • Follow the Salesforce development lifecycle including sandbox testing, change management, and deployment practices.
  • Configure and consume APIs and web services to enable seamless data exchange between Salesforce and other enterprise applications.
  • Support and maintain existing Salesforce applications, ensuring stability, scalability, and performance.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, maintaining trust and confidence during service recovery or issue resolution.
  • Coordinate with vendors and third parties to ensure effective integration of Salesforce within the organization’s technical ecosystem.
  • Champion the consistent use of all development lifecycle standards and best practices.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and proactively implement solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • 6+ years of experience as a Salesforce Administrator and Developer, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality, results-driven solutions using enterprise-grade tools.
  • Demonstrated technical experience in software development, technical analysis, data analysis, business systems administration, or quality assurance/testing.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant technical field (e.g., computer science, software engineering, database management) preferred; Master’s degree a plus.
  • Strong proficiency in Salesforce development tools: Apex (Triggers, Classes), Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, Flows, and Process Builder.
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce platforms such as Health Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and/or Experience Cloud.
  • Experience with integrations and APIs (e.g., Postman, JSON, web services) to connect Salesforce with enterprise systems.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce automation and workflow tools (Flow, Process Builder, Assignment Rules, Approval Processes, OmniStudio).
  • Experience with Salesforce reporting and analytics (Reports, Dashboards, Einstein Analytics/CRM Analytics, data visualization).
  • Industry-recognized Salesforce certifications preferred (Salesforce Administrator, Platform App Builder, Platform Developer I & II).
  • Applied understanding of enterprise architecture, including security protocols, network configuration, database provisioning, and server frameworks.
  • AI/Machine Learning proficiency (LLMs, NLP, predictive models, categorization models, deep neural networks) a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to design, develop, and integrate scalable, secure, and high-quality Salesforce solutions using both configuration and custom development.
  • Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation, including design specifications and deployment guides.
  • Learning agility, creativity, and a commitment to continuous professional growth and process improvement.
  • Experience with object-oriented programming and reusable component methodologies.
  • Strong product management skills, overseeing the end-to-end lifecycle of software products.
  • Development lifecycle proficiency, championing the consistent use of all development lifecycle standards.
  • Ability to keep stakeholders informed, escalate issues appropriately, and maintain trust during issue resolution.
