Remote role
Compensation: $70-$90/Hour
18 Month Contract
Start Date: 04/13/26
ABOUT THE ROLE
Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager specializing in Epic and third-party application integrations for an 18-month, fully remote contract. In this role, you will lead the planning, coordination, and execution of a large-scale Epic implementation initiative, focusing on integrating various vendor applications into the Epic ecosystem. You will work closely with internal IT teams, Epic application teams, and external vendors to guide third-party solutions through testing environments and ensure successful deployment through go-live. The Project Manager will play a key role in managing timelines, coordinating stakeholders, tracking progress and risks, facilitating communications, supporting testing phases, and ensuring thorough documentation. This is an opportunity to make a significant impact on a complex healthcare IT transformation.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Manage project timelines and deliverables for third-party application integrations within the Epic implementation program
- Coordinate activities among internal IT teams, Epic application teams, and external vendors
- Oversee third-party application implementation from initial vetting through test environment setup and go-live
- Track project progress, risks, and dependencies across multiple implementation workstreams
- Facilitate meetings, status updates, and stakeholder communications throughout the project lifecycle
- Support planning and execution of testing phases, including system and integration testing
- Ensure proper documentation of project plans, milestones, and implementation activities
- Assist with issue resolution and escalation management to keep implementation efforts on schedule
- Create and manage capital and operational budgets, and prepare impact summaries
- Develop project management and information system lifecycle documentation, and utilize project management tools
- Coach and mentor project team members on project management processes and information systems lifecycle
- Lead all project and program management functions and personnel across multiple projects and programs
WHAT YOU BRING
- Proven experience managing large-scale Epic EHR and third-party application implementations
- Strong understanding of healthcare IT workflows and system integration processes
- 10-15+ years of experience overseeing information systems lifecycle and implementation of projects/programs in complex healthcare settings
- Experience creating capital and operational budgets, impact summaries, and coordinating project milestones and activities with all management levels
- Skilled in developing project management documentation, information system lifecycle documentation, and using project management tools
- Ability to coach and mentor project team members through all phases of project and information systems lifecycle
- Demonstrated leadership of project and program management functions and personnel across multiple projects/programs
