ABOUT THE ROLE
Our Client is seeking a Workday HCM & Recruiting Functional Lead responsible for managing and configuring Workday HCM and Recruiting functional areas to meet evolving business requirements. This role will collaborate closely with internal teams and external vendors to ensure seamless integration of HRIS solutions with other business systems, driving projects that enhance interoperability and data accuracy. The Functional Lead will ensure the delivery of timely, high-quality services in alignment with Service Level Agreements, and will lead Workday projects from requirements gathering through implementation and post-mortem improvements. This position partners with Workday technology leads and business owners to maintain a robust HRIS foundation, optimize Workday usage to drive organizational value, and support the integration of specialized technologies. The role also involves troubleshooting complex system issues, supporting mass data conversions and Workday EIBs, participating in project planning and execution, and contributing to large cross-functional initiatives. Success in this role requires strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, as well as a deep understanding of HR and Talent Acquisition processes, systems, and best practices.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Manage and configure Workday HCM & Recruiting functional areas to meet business requirements
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure seamless integration of HRIS solutions with other business systems
- Drive projects to enhance interoperability and data accuracy across HR systems
- Ensure delivery of timely, quality services and adherence to Service Level Agreements
- Lead Workday HCM & Recruiting projects, including obtaining stakeholder alignment, developing requirements, building and testing solutions, preparing change management plans, executing go-live, and conducting post-mortem feedback improvements
- Partner with Workday technology leads and business owners to maintain a strong HRIS foundation and support integration of specialized technologies
- Leverage extensive Workday experience to optimize system usage and ensure HR systems meet organizational needs and drive value
- Collaborate with leadership to contribute to large cross-functional initiatives and implement system solutions that support organizational growth and enhance employee experience
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex system tickets that cannot be solved at the tier 1 level
- Support mass data conversions, data transformations, and Workday EIBs
- Participate in project planning, management, and execution to ensure successful delivery of Workday projects
WHAT YOU BRING
- Extensive experience with Workday HCM & Recruiting configuration, optimization, and project leadership
- Strong understanding of HR and Talent Acquisition business processes, systems, and best practices
- Proven ability to lead Workday HCM & Recruiting projects from requirements gathering through post-implementation improvements
- Experience collaborating with internal teams and external vendors for HRIS integrations and cross-functional initiatives
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues beyond tier 1 support
- Experience supporting mass data conversions, data transformations, and Workday EIBs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for effective cross-functional teamwork
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Project planning, management, and execution experience for Workday and HRIS initiatives
