Job Description:

Application Testing Coordinator

Remote Role

Compensation: $60-70/hour

6-month contract, Part-Time (10 hours/week)

Start Date: ASAP

ABOUT THE ROLE

Our client is seeking an Application Testing Coordinator for a 6-month, fully remote contract position. The coordinator will support the Project Management Office (PMO) by overseeing testing activities across a portfolio of legacy application initiatives within a complex healthcare environment. Initially aligned to a single project, the scope and hours may expand as additional projects enter the testing phase and project demand increases. This role is responsible for ensuring testing activities are structured, compliant with internal audit standards, and executed in alignment with established SDLC methodologies. Acting as a centralized point of coordination, you will work closely with project managers, technical teams, and business stakeholders to support test script development, execution tracking, and status reporting. The ideal candidate is comfortable operating in a flexible, growth-oriented engagement where workload may expand over time based on project pipeline and PMO needs. This is a highly collaborative, detail-oriented position requiring strong organizational skills, proactive communication, and the ability to coordinate virtual teams across multiple initiatives.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Partner with project managers, technical teams, and business stakeholders to develop detailed test scripts in alignment with internal audit standards and SDLC requirements
  • Assist in defining testing scope, objectives, timelines, and entry/exit criteria for assigned projects
  • Ensure all test scripts are complete, traceable to requirements, and properly documented prior to execution
  • Coordinate test readiness activities, including confirming environment availability, access, test data setup, and participant alignment
  • Track test script execution status, ensuring timely completion and adherence to testing schedules
  • Monitor and report on test results, including pass/fail status, defect trends, and outstanding items
  • Facilitate communication between technical teams and business testers to resolve questions or clarify expected outcomes
  • Coordinate the movement and reassignment of test scripts between teams as needed to maintain momentum
  • Ensure defects are logged appropriately in tracking tools and follow through to resolution or retest
  • Develop and maintain testing and conversion documentation, such as testing plans, schedules, sign-offs, and presentations
  • Set up and utilize project management tools (e.g., Teams channels, testing tracker, issue tracker)
  • Lead project team members through the details of project testing and conversion support

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Minimum 3 years of experience overseeing testing cycles and conversion support for information systems lifecycle and implementation in a complex healthcare setting (small- to intermediate-scale projects)
  • Proven experience developing testing and conversion documentation (testing plans, schedules, sign-offs, presentations, etc.)
  • Proficiency in setting up and using project management tools (e.g., Teams channels, testing tracker, issue tracker)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead project team members through project testing and conversion support
  • Cerner/Oracle EHR testing experience preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for coordinating virtual teams
  • Familiarity with SDLC methodologies and internal audit standards
  • Adaptability and comfort working in a flexible, growth-oriented engagement where workload may expand over time
  • Ability to proactively communicate and coordinate across multiple initiatives and stakeholders
