Senior Financial Analyst

ABOUT THE ROLE
Echostar is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our dynamic Corporate FP&A team. In this fast-paced role, you will focus on key projects to enhance financial reporting, improve processes, and establish governance as the business transitions from a build to run state. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring efficient and effective business and financial functions, with opportunities to make significant contributions to a rapidly growing organization. This position offers the chance to build meaningful relationships across the business, provide financial oversight, and deliver insights that drive strategic decision-making.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Prepare the annual budget and rolling forecasts
- Analyze monthly financial performance and support accounting month-end close activities
- Build and maintain weekly and monthly models for key operational and financial performance metrics
- Create and deliver financial presentations to leadership, recommending decisions with financial implications
- Leverage financial modeling and a hypothesis-based approach to identify, validate, and quantify multi-year agreements and long-term savings plans
- Perform ad-hoc analysis on cost-saving opportunities, capital expenditures, and other corporate initiatives
- Demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving in complex financial situations
- Enhance reporting and improve financial processes within the Corporate FP&A team
- Contribute to the creation and implementation of financial governance practices
- Build relationships across the business to provide financial oversight and support for growth initiatives
WHAT YOU BRING
- Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- MBA or MS in Finance is a plus
- 3+ years of experience in an accounting/finance environment, preferably in telecom or tech industries
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills
- Experience preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial reports
- Ability to analyze financial performance and support month-end close activities
- Proficiency in creating and delivering financial presentations to leadership
- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving abilities in complex situations
- Experience with ad-hoc financial analysis and identifying cost-saving opportunities
