Senior Epic OpTime Analyst (6‑Month Contract)

Overview

Our client is seeking a senior-level Epic OpTime Analyst to provide immediate support for OpTime operations and assist with an upcoming block utilization enhancement project. This is a hands‑on role requiring deep Epic OpTime expertise and the ability to work independently in a complex medical environment.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide day‑to‑day Epic OpTime support for surgical scheduling, workflows, and operational issues.
  • Serve as a supporting resource for the block utilization optimization project beginning
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across OpTime and associated workflows (PST, ambulatory/inpatient, billing).
  • Collaborate with perioperative leadership, clinical staff, and IT teams across multiple OR locations.
  • Perform system analysis, build, testing, documentation, and workflow validation.
  • Support upgrades, enhancement requests, and optimization initiatives.

Key Skill Sets

  • Epic OpTime Certification (Required)
  • Senior-level experience with the ability to hit the ground running
  • Experience in an academic medical center or a health system with multiple "OR" locations (preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • OpTime modules
    • Surgical scheduling workflows
    • Pre‑Surgical Testing (PST)
    • Ambulatory & inpatient perioperative workflows
    • Billing workflows related to OpTime

Experience & Education

  • 5+ years of Epic OpTime analyst experience (senior‑level preferred)
  • Experience supporting perioperative departments within a hospital or academic medical center
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Healthcare, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Prior involvement in workflow optimization or enhancement projects is a plus
