Job Description:
Senior Systems Project Manager – Commercial Cash Management
Hybrid Role (Preferred locations: Cincinnati, Columbus, Indianapolis, Southeast Indiana, or Louisville)
Onsite/Hybrid (Periodic in-office presence required, typically once per week or bi-weekly)
Compensation: $70 per hour
ABOUT THE ROLE
Our client is launching a new Commercial Cash Management platform and migrating commercial customers from a legacy system to a modern enterprise solution. As the Senior Systems Project Manager, you will serve as a hands-on, execution-focused “player-coach” and subject matter expert, leading the systems-side project management for this critical initiative. You will coordinate UAT activities, data validation, script optimization, and conversion readiness, ensuring a seamless transition for commercial clients. This role is not a pure QA or software development position, but rather a leadership role focused on structuring, guiding, and validating testing and readiness activities. You will work closely with business and technology stakeholders, third-party vendors, and internal teams to drive successful platform implementation and customer migration. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in systems project management, platform implementations, and regulated technology environments, with a strong background in UAT execution, data validation, and software deployments. Experience in commercial banking or Treasury/Cash Management and exposure to enterprise cash management platforms are highly preferred. This hybrid role requires periodic in-office presence within the regional footprint.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Lead the implementation and migration to a new Commercial Cash Management platform, supporting Treasury products including ACH, Wires, Lockbox, and RDC.
- Coordinate readiness and execution for large-scale commercial customer migrations, including participation in multiple mock conversions prior to go-live.
- Own and coordinate UAT activities from both systems and business readiness perspectives, providing hands-on guidance to testing teams and business SMEs.
- Review test coverage, validation results, and defect resolution; step in as needed to validate scenarios, confirm outcomes, and resolve issues.
- Lead data validation workstreams, including pre-conversion validation, issue tracking, and ensuring conversion readiness.
- Review, optimize, and rewrite an existing library of 200+ validation and testing scripts for clarity, efficiency, and repeatability.
- Support backend reporting and maintain comprehensive validation documentation.
- Serve as a key execution partner within the PMO, running meetings, managing action items, and maintaining clear cross-team communication.
- Act as a systems-side SME supporting business and product stakeholders, coordinating closely with third-party vendors and internal technology teams.
- Track execution status, risks, and open items through go-live, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and aligned.
WHAT YOU BRING
- 5+ years of experience in systems project management, platform implementations, or regulated technology environments.
- Direct experience with UAT execution, coordination, or oversight, with strong working knowledge of data validation and conversion readiness activities.
- Experience supporting software deployments, system conversions, or platform migrations, ideally in commercial banking or Treasury/Cash Management environments.
- Proven ability to review, optimize, and structure testing scripts for clarity, efficiency, and repeatability.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills; able to run meetings, manage action items, and maintain clear cross-team communication.
- Comfortable operating as a hands-on, knowledgeable systems SME and “player-coach.”
- Experience supporting large-scale customer or platform migrations (preferred).
- Exposure to enterprise cash management platforms (preferred).
- Ability to coordinate with third-party vendors and internal technology teams.
- Hybrid work model; must be located within the regional footprint with periodic in-office presence (typically once per week or bi-weekly).
