Project Controls Specialist
On-Site Role

ABOUT THE ROLE
Our client is seeking an Assistant Project Controls Specialist to support all aspects of project controls and reporting, including project change management, cost control, progress measurement, schedule development, and schedule control. In this role, you will assist with project set-up in enterprise planning software, input and maintain data logs, generate reports, and support the creation of work breakdown structures. You will also help develop, implement, and maintain scheduling and cost reports, cash flows, and forecasts for small projects. Additional responsibilities include following project execution plans, supporting the review and approval of purchase orders and subcontracts, documenting changes to cost reports, assisting with change orders, developing cash flows, maintaining earned value management systems, and supporting quality checks and field audits. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field (or equivalent experience), proficiency in Microsoft Office, strong communication skills, and familiarity with Oracle Primavera P6. OSHA 10-hour safety certification is required or must be obtained.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Assist with project set-up in Enterprise Planning & Controls software
- Input data, maintain logs, and generate reports using project control tools
- Support creation and maintenance of Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)
- Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining scheduling and cost reports, cash flows, and forecasts
- Follow project execution plans and ensure compliance with procedures
- Assist in reviewing and approving Purchase Orders and Subcontracts for proper coding
- Document and input changes to cost reports or forecasts
- Support management of upstream (prime contract) and downstream (purchase order & subcontract) change orders
- Assist in developing cash flow projections and progress measurement systems
- Support schedule development, including logic ties, resource loading, and schedule progress updates
- Coordinate and distribute scheduling reports and backup documentation
- Assist with earned value management system development and maintenance
- Verify progress measurements and maintain progress curves
- Assist with material takeoffs and quality checks on project controls deliverables
- Support field audits to validate accuracy of reporting and processes
WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent applicable experience
- Experience with Oracle Primavera P6 preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Ability to obtain OSHA 10-hour safety certification
