Our client is seeking a Senior Integration Engineering Leader for a contract-to-hire position based in Atlanta, GA. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining integration applications and systems using platforms such as Dell Boomi and SAP BTP Integration Suite. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams—including product managers, designers, and engineers—to define, design, and implement new integration features that meet business goals, while also upgrading existing flows to improve performance and functionality. As a technical leader, you will own stakeholder management and the technical delivery of large, complex integration programs, participate in code reviews, mentor team members, and ensure high integration quality through best practices. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong change leadership, digital technology fluency, business acumen, and partnership skills.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Design and develop high-quality integration solutions using Dell Boomi, SAP BTP Integration Suite, and API management tools (Kong or Layer7), including Cloud Integration, API Management, Event Mesh, and Open Connectors, across cloud, hybrid, and on-prem environments.
- Lead the automation of integration deployments utilizing Boomi AtomSphere or SAP BTP CI/CD pipelines, supporting DevOps practices to ensure smooth and reliable releases across environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including product managers, designers, and engineers—to gather complex integration requirements and deliver robust solutions, ensuring seamless data exchange across SAP and non-SAP systems.
- Write, maintain, and debug unit and integration tests for Boomi or SAP BTP flows; perform debugging and root cause analysis to ensure performance, reliability, and compliance with integration standards.
- Identify and implement proactive improvements to enhance the efficiency, scalability, and stability of integration platforms; stay current with Boomi or SAP BTP roadmaps and industry trends.
- Build and maintain comprehensive documentation for Boomi or SAP BTP integration flows, deployment processes, and system configurations to support operational transparency and knowledge sharing.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for complex integration issues, ensuring minimal downtime and fast resolution; participate in peer reviews and mentor team members on Boomi or SAP BTP development practices.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience with Dell Boomi integration platform (5+ years preferred).
- Minimum 10 years of total IT experience, preferably in integration.
- Proficiency with SAP BTP Integration Suite, API Management (Kong or Layer7), Cloud Integration, Event Mesh, and Open Connectors.
- Experience leading engineering teams and managing technical delivery of complex integration programs.
- Strong knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines (Boomi AtomSphere or SAP BTP).
- Ability to write, maintain, and debug unit and integration tests for Boomi or SAP BTP flows.
- Excellent collaboration skills with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement and stay current with integration technology trends.
- Strong documentation skills for integration flows, deployment processes, and system configurations.
- Proven ability to provide technical support, troubleshooting, and mentorship to team members.
- Competency in change management, digital technology fluency, business acumen, and execution excellence.
- Ability to develop self and others, seek feedback and coaching, and align career goals with business objectives.
- Strong partnership skills, with the ability to anticipate needs and identify benefits and risks of solutions.
