Job Description:
Project Manager- Revenue Cycle
Duration: 12 months
ABOUT THE ROLE
Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee and coordinate IT initiatives within the healthcare sector, with a specific focus on Revenue Cycle solutions. This 12-month contract role requires managing complex projects from inception to completion, developing and maintaining detailed project schedules and Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), and ensuring alignment with organizational goals and timelines. The Project Manager will be responsible for tracking project progress, managing scope, budget, resources, and risks, and facilitating effective communication among stakeholders, including internal teams, third-party vendors, and managed service partners. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in Healthcare IT project management, hands-on knowledge of Revenue Cycle systems such as Epic Hospital or Physician billing, strong problem-solving skills, and excellent communication abilities. A bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in a technical discipline, and PMI or PMP certification is strongly preferred.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Lead and coordinate all phases of project activities for healthcare IT initiatives, ensuring timely delivery and successful outcomes
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) to support project planning and execution
- Monitor and track project progress, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, timelines, and deliverables
- Communicate project status, risks, issues, decisions, and action items to stakeholders, including internal teams, third-party vendors, and managed service partners
- Manage project scope, budget, schedule, resources, risks, and issues, proactively identifying and addressing potential roadblocks
- Forecast and track project financials to ensure projects remain within budget
- Facilitate virtual project meetings and ensure effective collaboration and communication across cross-functional teams
- Collaborate with third-party vendors, internal departments, and service partners to drive project success
- Ensure adherence to project tracking and escalation processes, and support continuous improvement initiatives
WHAT YOU BRING
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in Healthcare IT, with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects
- Hands-on experience with Revenue Cycle solutions, such as Epic Hospital-based or Physician billing, and Health Information Management (HIM)
- Strong understanding of project tracking, escalation processes, and financial forecasting
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and drive projects to completion
- Familiarity with ServiceNow (preferred)
- PMI or PMP certification (strongly preferred)
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware and software
- Bachelor’s degree required; degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred
