Project Manager 2
Waynesboro, GA
On-Site Role
$32 per hour (Contract, Long-term)
ABOUT THE ROLE
Our client is seeking multiple experienced Project Manager 2 professionals for a long-term, onsite contract role at a large operational site in Waynesboro, GA. As a Project Manager 2, you will partner with technical and business stakeholders to deliver projects that align with organizational objectives. You will be responsible for managing the full project lifecycle—including planning, execution, and closeout—while ensuring scope, schedule, budget, and risk are effectively managed. This role requires strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills, as well as a proven ability to drive results in a dynamic environment.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Plan, execute, and close projects aligned to organizational objectives
- Build detailed project plans defining scope, timelines, and resources
- Lead cross-functional teams and provide day-to-day project leadership
- Track budgets, costs, and project performance metrics
- Manage scope changes and change control processes
- Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies
- Maintain project schedules and ensure milestone adherence
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
- Ensure quality standards are met across all deliverables
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation
- Drive issue resolution and escalate as needed
- Complete formal project closeout and post-project evaluations
WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- 5–10 years of experience in project management
- PMP or similar certification preferred
- Experience with project management tools and reporting platforms
- Strong understanding of project delivery methodologies
- Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
