Contract – Full Time

100% Remote

About the Role

The Scrum Room Architect is a hands-on technical leader responsible for defining, designing, and maintaining the architecture of software systems developed within an Agile Scrum environment. This role ensures that solutions are scalable, maintainable, secure, and aligned with business goals. The Scrum Room Architect bridges the gap between business needs and technical execution, partnering closely with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to drive high-quality delivery across multiple Scrum teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead architectural design and technical decision-making within a Scrum environment, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and long-term scalability.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and Developers to translate business requirements into robust, technical solutions.
  • Design and maintain system architectures leveraging Java, React, microservices, and cloud-native technologies.
  • Define and enforce best practices for code quality, system performance, and security
  • Provide technical mentorship and guidance to development teams, fostering growth and consistency across the Scrum Room.
  • Contribute to sprint planning and backlog refinement by providing architectural insights and feasibility assessments.
  • Partner with DevOps teams to optimize CI/CD pipelines, deployment strategies, and infrastructure automation.
  • Promote architectural alignment across multiple teams to ensure interoperability and maintainability of the overall system ecosystem.

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in software development and system architecture.
  • Strong full-stack expertise with Java (Spring Boot) and React
  • Proven experience designing and implementing microservices architectures and API-driven systems
  • Proficiency with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
  • Familiarity with event-driven architecture, messaging systems, and asynchronous communication patterns.
  • Deep understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies, with the ability to integrate architectural practices into iterative delivery cycles.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and guide technical teams in best practices and architectural principles.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code.
  • Knowledge of API Gateway, OAuth2, and security best practices
  • Familiarity with data streaming technologies (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
  • Experience in performance tuning, system monitoring, and cloud cost optimization

What You’ll Gain

  • Opportunity to shape technical direction across agile delivery teams.
  • Work on cutting-edge cloud and full-stack technologies in a collaborative, forward-thinking environment.
  • Influence architectural standards and technical strategy at an enterprise level.
  • Competitive compensation and opportunities for career advancement.
