Senior Agile Scrum/Flow Master
Location: Hybrid in Durham, NC (Research Triangle Park)
1-year contract with potential for extension or full-time hire
Brooksource is searching for a Senior Agile Scrum/Flow Master to join our state government client. This individual’s responsibilities will involve supporting agile teams in their agile ceremonies, and planning and implementation of Epics and features that adds business value for both the project and the operations and maintenance. This role will perform daily assignment tracking, prioritization with business and divisions and will be involved in removing impediments for the team, and release planning with technical leads and team.
This role will help with daily scrum meetings, backlog refinement meetings, sprint planning and other agile ceremonies along with monthly releases, quarterly PI planning and other status meetings for managerial briefings and updates. This role will also help in measuring various metrics in the agile teams and drive continuous improvement, guiding and coaching team to achieve agile maturity along with planning, managing, and delivering solution for program backlogs.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Strong experience understanding and implementing Agile values, principles, and practices (i.e., Kanban, Scrum) based on Team's maturity.
· Strong hands on experience with tools like JIRA, Confluence, MS Project, MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
· Experience with JIRA to create/enhance dashboards, monitor progress of sprint/work flow, and providing statuses in timely manner.
· Demonstrated experience working on multiple priorities and/or projects simultaneously without impact to quality of work.
· Experience working with stakeholders for backlog item prioritization, grooming, and understanding of epic/stories/tasks
· Experience with work breakdown and estimation, sprint planning, monitoring progress and removing impediments to deliver solutions for business needs.
· Strong experience using facilitation and communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
· Strong experience using risk and business impact analysis and reporting skills.
· Experience in gaining buy-in and support from stakeholders
· Experience managing, maintaining, and analyzing data to derive meaningful and actionable insights about the portfolio.
· Demonstrated experience using effective leadership, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
· Demonstrated experience working with planning just enough, just in time to START moving forward.
· Certified Agile Scrum Master or Kanban Flow Master
· Experience with Program Increment (PI) planning and tracking dependencies across functional teams.
· Demonstrated experience on the technical side of the application development cycle to support the agile teams in driving enhancements and projects.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Certified SPC or SAFe Agilist in SAFe transformation
· Certified Project Manager
