Job Description:
Windows Administrator
Remote (U.S. Eastern Time Alignment)
100% Remote Role
Our Client is seeking an experienced IT professional to manage identity, endpoints, and policy within a large-scale Windows enterprise environment. The role involves overseeing Active Directory user accounts, organizational structure, and security policies, as well as deploying, patching, and updating Windows workstations at scale. You will troubleshoot authentication and permission issues, maintain federated identity management and Group Policy configurations, and automate workflows using PowerShell and Python.
The successful candidate will collaborate directly with cross-functional teams in North America and other regions, align with US Eastern business hours during onboarding, and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Responsibilities include supporting onboarding/offboarding and documentation processes, maintaining system security and compliance, enforcing secure access controls, supporting background check processes, and adhering to enterprise IT standards. Expertise in scripting, automation, remote Windows administration, Microsoft Entra ID, networking, federated ID management, and AWS Cloud is essential for delivering secure, scalable, and efficient IT operations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell and Python, with experience writing modular, logged, and error-handled code for automation
- Experience in remote Windows administration within enterprise environments
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, and Group Policy management
- Solid understanding of networking, operating systems, and federated ID management
- Ability to collaborate effectively within distributed, cross-functional teams across multiple regions
- Clear communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience with AWS Cloud services
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage user accounts, organizational structure, and security policies in Active Directory
- Provision and de-provision user accounts and access across the Windows environment
- Deploy, patch, and update Windows workstations at scale
- Troubleshoot local and Active Directory-related issues, including login failures and permission errors
- Maintain federated identity management and Group Policy configurations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in North America and other regions, aligning with US Eastern business hours during onboarding
- Communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Participate in onboarding, offboarding, and documentation processes
- Apply best practices for Windows system security and compliance
- Enforce secure access controls and policy compliance across the environment
- Support background check processes and adhere to enterprise IT standards
- Automate tasks including user provisioning, reporting, and bulk changes using scripting languages such as PowerShell and Python
- Develop modular scripts with logging and error handling for safe execution across large user bases
- Continuously refine automation strategies to reduce manual effort and improve consistency
- Leverage AWS Cloud experience in managing and supporting IT operations
